Report – Makoun on Holiday until December

Very interesting report posted on VT

From the website AllAFrica.com – LINK. That have sourced this from the Cameroon Tribune, original text is HERE.

After several months of work, the Cameroonian international footballer Jean II Makoun has taken some time off to be with his family and friends. He lives in England and plays in Aston Villa Club.

His holidays in Cameroon began in May 2012 and will end in December. For the past two months, he has not stopped practising sports for, he says, it is already a part of him. He does sports every morning except on weekends. He regularly visits gymnasiums to keep his muscles in shape and jogs regularly on the slopes of Mont Febe and nearby “Parcours Vita”. During weekends, he plays football on various pitches in the Nkolndongo and Nlongkak neighbourhoods.

Reading this report there are no mention at all of work permits. I would imagine Villa at some point will claim this is a false report and he is not on holiday. However I would not believe them them. I do not believe we will ever see Makoun in Claret and Blue again.

Anyone holding this hope out should also adjust themselves to this.

  1. Dumb arsed comments like Makoun is class, should not be tolerated.

The words Makoun and class should not be used in the same sentence.

  2. Its a shame how the whole Makoun situation has played out as he is clearly a quality player. Much better than the rest of our midfielders on the ball but I do agree that we won’t see him in a villa shirt again.

  3. I would liked to have seen Makoun given a good run in the team. He certainly showed glimpses of being a very good player. I do find it strange however that he couldn’t get into Houlliers team towards the end. Was there a problem to him settling at villa.

  4. Cant see it myself steve. Lower level possibly I suppose, but top flight? It aint gonna happen.

  5. Whatever happened to Eric Djemba-Djemba?

  6. insane that Villa haven’t got him back? A player PL would like. Villa must be still paying his wages? Bring him back Villa.

  7. They’ve already said he’s number 17 and we’re currently having work permit issues. No conspiracy here. Stop pretending there is one to feed your ego.

  8. Hi there to every body, it’s my first go to see of this blog; this web site contains remarkable and truly fine data in support of visitors.
