Welcome and Good Luck to Paul Lambert

Some exciting news for all Villans out there.

We now have a new manager and of course it is Paul Lambert.

He has signed a three year contract and is likely to bring Ian Culverhouse with him as his number two.

Lambert certainly fulfils the criteria that the club set out and has excited a large number of the fan base. I expect the fans to respond and keep the Season Ticket sales to the same level if not higher than last season.

I also expect Randy to keep to his side and provide significant cash for serious team rebuilding which will be starting very soon you suspect.

I will talk about the expectations I have of Lambert in a future post but I certainly WELCOME Paul to Aston Villa and wish him all the good luck possible for the future of our GREAT club.

  1. Thank God that’s sorted! Top 4 here we come.

  2. Happy it is sorted, happy we got an ambitious manager who wants to work for us. Hope he will knock some heads together and continue his remarkable run of success with Villa. Also well done to RL and Faulkner for the way they handled the entire Martinez business and in appointing the right man.

  3. Norwich have released a statement to say they are looking for new manager but havent agreed compensation with villa but will continue to discuss this matter privately with villa, for me that tells me that norwich know full well they arent due any because why would you sanction the move without compo being sorted:/ i think we could be disussing Holts transfer maybe :/??

    • I think we are probably due to pay compensation for lamberts people rather than lambert, it will be reported in the press as compensation for lambert but given how badly Norwich look as a result of their own press claims, they are entitled a little face saving😉

  4. HOLT TO FOLLOW NOW, 17 GOALS! WITH BENT UP FRONT AGAIN, HOLT WILL BE A DECENT PARTNER UP FRONT,GABBY OUT..

  5. Great news Paul Lambert has signed . Finally a forward thinking manager , unlike Mccleish and 80th minute i’ll bring heskey on , Mr one dimensional , O’neill.
