Happy with a point at the Brittannia, nothing given easy or asked for.

As predicted a game of attrition from the start. To be honest little to mention at all, game of NO chances and somehow three Villa players (Milner, Dunne & Cuellar) got booked for very little.

A very winnable game for us if we can get ourselves going because at times the passing as been good and stoke, are well, hard working.

2nd HALF

First chance possibly of the whole game to Villa as Downing broke free in the 48th minute and hit Carew when it looked on target and finished in the side netting.

Villa have started the half well

But some uncertain defending by Villa and Carew in particular led to a clear Warnock booking

Villa had a clear chance from a free kick which was worked well but Dunne tried to pass it across goal rather than try and score

A great counter attack from Villa and Warnock crossed but no-one was there to stick it in

Collins makes a magnificent block to prevent Fuller having a clear chance

After 75 mins Gabby comes on for the ineffective Carew

Yet another brilliant block, this time by Warnock to prevent a certain goal

Milner with a great freekick, grazes the post

Guess what ? another Villa block, this time by Dunne to block Fuller, then from resulting corner Huth heads a clear chance over

JUST HOW DID that not go in, cross from Young and with Gabby and Heskey waiting, somehow a Stoke defender hooked it over the bar
