Shearer Relegated

Ok so we did not beat Everton in the league, we should have been on 70 points but today made up for a lot.
Obviously from previous posts I share no love of Newcastle but they were so tame today, Friedel 2nd half did not have a save to make and once we scored after Newky had the best of the first 20 minutes we were never in danger. I Will reflect on the season later this week but today was sweet and we actually played OK.

Freidel – 6 – Overall not much to do but shaky at times first half
Gardner – 6 – Solid, good performance and battled hard
Shorey – 7 – Best games at VP for me, attacked really well
Davies – 8 – MOTM – very good performance kept their forwards well in check and more like it from Curtis
Cuellar – 7 – solid performance and showed me why I really rated him
Milner – 7 – a very solid performance from the ex Newky player and will play a lot of games for us
Petrov – 6 – good performance from Stan, but somewhat lacking of previous weeks but deserved his standing ovation when subbed for his seasons work
Barry – 7 – Best game for a long while should have scored but that is more like it
Young – 6 – Peripheral to the game today, he has a few things about over the summer
Gabby – 6- basically see Young, to make the step up he has to learn how to make the best use of his pace
Carew – 5 – Worse game for a while for big John but on this occasion will forgive him

I will luv it if we beat them ….

“When you do that with footballers like he assaulted Ugo and when you do things like that about a man like Ugo, I’m… I… I’ve kept really quiet but I’ll tell you something: he went down in my estimation when he did that. We have not resorted to that. But I’ll tell ya, you can tell him now, he’ll be reading this: we’re still fighting for 5th and he’s got to go to Villa Park and get something and… and… I’ll tell ya… honestly… I will luv it if we beat them. Luv it.”

5 Reasons to Relegate Newcastle

5 Reasons to Relegate Newcastle

1. Alan Shearer, he has to a lot of people a ‘Mary Poppins’ personality yet as anyone who saw the damage he did to Ugo will testify he has a lot of ‘devil’ in him. Neil Lennon may well agree as well considering how the powers that be figured that Shearer’s assault was not worthy of assault just because he was England captain. And be honest anyone who appoints Iain Dowie cannot be that bright.

2. Big club to go down, in the era where money does dominate it would be great to see a so called big club go down to give hope to everyone that money is not always the answer

3. Remove a rival, If they actually ever got their act together then Newcastle could be a threat to the top 6 teams, removing them to the lower leagues to suffer there would make it easier for Villa

4. Geordie fans, they get this reputation of being super loyal and the worlds greatest fans (c) Sky. However as I saw myself in 1986, with just 18,000 at St James Park, the reality is far from the truth. It is funny to see how they actually wanted to get rid of Robson who at least got them top ten and Fat Sam who at Blackburn has shown he is excellent at managing on tight budgets. The reason for this is that they want a mystical brand of ‘attacking’ football which in reality they have only for a few brief seasons under Keegan until he imploded.

5. Mike Ashley, I think a lot of Newcastle fans would agree with this. He is the image of an owner you never want. He meddles, he brings in mates, he makes himself look like a drunken buffoon. His policies have helped towards their current situation and when you compare him with Lerner then you can see what the major difference is

The perception of the club that the media and the fans wish to portray is of this super club on the Tyne that somehow deserves success just because well it is Newcastle. No club can succeed because of this, you need more than that and to fleece your own fans and self portray yourself as something that you are not is worthy of anything other of relegation.

However let’s face it they will play us and we are equally liable to mess it up for the world of football that wants to see them relegated.

The good guys at Villatalk have posted a good article as well

We have a duty to relegate Newcastle

OK so we basically have relegated Middlesbrough today with a OK performance which really should have got us 3 points. Our season is basically over we will finish a likely 6th which after the first two thirds of the season is poor. There is not much to say about today’s game because we have one final mission bestowed on us by the rest of the football world.

RELEGATE NEWCASTLE

He deserves to be relegated

He deserves to be relegated

I Would just love it if this man was in charge when they go down

I Would just love it if this man was in charge when they go down

After today’s results it is simple for Newcastle they have to beat us, yes if they draw and Hull lose they will stay up but I think Hull will get something against a reserve Man Utd side. So if any Villa players read this blog please make sure you put all your effort into next Sunday and do not dare to let us down like you have done for the past three months. It is your duty to relegate the ‘Toon Army’ and we will not except anything less on Laursen’s farewell.

we will be seeing this on Sunday

and remember any ‘Toon Army’ fans that may read this Martin O’Neil is a Sunderland fan.
