Another set of pictures this time from Elliott Brown taken earlier this winter in the snow. Villa Park and the surrounds look magnificent in the snow and clear blue sky.
Reminds us how lucky we are to support the Villa

Norman Crandles on the Villa mailing list posted the following and I thought it deserves a wider audience
==============
We know of our illustrious past, stretching back to 1874, when the very name of our team was a colonial byword. We`ve discussed it on here many times. I`m currently reading ” The Making of [...]

Louie from mywolves blog and I have swapped previews and he is too nice to us !!!
I have to say that I quite like Wolves, used to go to the Molineux a fair bit and stood on the old South Bank in the Bull/Dennison/Mutch era

One fact that might Villa’s fears (if any) is that in [...]

Villa reserves triumphed at Hinckley Utd, last night with a 2-1 friendly win.
The team was
Villa line-up: Bevan, Lichaj, O’Halloran, Hogg, Clark, Hofbauer, Albrighton, Salifou, Collins, Weimann, Forrester. Substitutes: Cameron, Johnson, Ward, Halfhuid, Lampkin.
And no surprise that Weimann scored along with James Collins (not the ginge !!) for a young Villa 2nd string.

Get the title eh ??
Well a nice derby for yet another important game for Villa, a game which if we win we know will propel us to 5th, same number of points as Spurs with the rest of the challengers having very testing games.
So what do Wolves bring.
Frankly they have a pedestrian defence one which [...]

I feel sorry for anyone that paid to watch Stoke against the Villa. Listening on the radio was painful enough. Two teams with little idea up front. One team thats only plan is to win throw-ins. We really need to be beating the likes of Stoke if we want 4th place. Another striker should be [...]

It is reported on Villa forums that Wolves even with a reduced allocation have failed to sell out their allocation and some reports indicate only 1800 ticket sold.
I do understand the tickets for away supporters at Villa Park is high (around £40) but this IS a traditional local derby (it can be argued the former [...]

I hate the fact that finishing 4th is considered so crucial, but it is and we have to deal with that. After tonight’s win we are in a very good position with two games to come against teams in the bottom half.
So when you look at this weekend’s fixtures this could be the turning point [...]
