From afar I have seen a stream of drivel coming out from the mouths of Villa’s players.
We have seen drivel from Gabby saying how good Bowery is. So why the hell is he barely a bit part in the team and tried as only the very last choice.
We have seen drivel from Delph saying how good Sylla is. Thats right so good he can not even start when our midfield is the weakest in living memory including Delph
We have seen drivel from Delph (again) about how much he likes Lambert. What else would you expect, I mean at least he gets games under Lambert.
We have seen drivel from Lowton so how it will all turn around. Well how long is it taking Matty ?? 5 wins from 11 games is narrowing our chances of survival a lot !!
I do understand that this comes from Villa’s PR of course but they are paid a lot for what ?? Does Duggan understand this drivel makes no impression on fans at all. All we care about now is winning games and it does not come simpler than that. I have a very good suggestion for Villa, SHUT UP, STOP TALKING and let the actions on the field speak volumes eh ?
No fan wants to hear this, there is no demand for it, just stop it eh ?
I suppose they could all (well nearly all) hold their hands up and admit that they are nowhere good enough. But that wouldnt achieve anything either. Do your talking on the pitch lads…..thats all we really want, its still not too late!
or just STFU ???
We do not need to hear from any player other than the injured captain …
Tbh it is bit patronising , do they really think we swallow all that bull shit ?? It started at the beginning of the season with the lamberts lions bollocks pmsl !
Do us all a favour we know we’re shit so give us a bit of credit !
I agree with this but i am the kind of bloke who does not buy words, my experiences in life have taught me that unless it is presented to me or is obvious anyone can say any old bollocks they wish. however i understand it is important for players to come out and speak for people who do not think like i do
Andreas Weimann has said he is confident we will no be relegated, he stated the players have fire in their bellies !, Untrue, never have I seen such a lack of fight in an Aston Villa side, nobody shouts orders, no one will make that crunching tackle that will gee up the crowd, completely disorganized all over the park, and a lack of leadership has been conspicuous since Petrov has been out, Talk is cheap, so totally agree, let’s see some performances that live up to all the hype.
I’ve stopped listening to the garbage they come out with. The players and lam-berk think they can patronise the fans with their false words and statements that make no sense.
Its simple, do your talking on the pitch. If the likes of Gabby and Delph actually performed on the pitch, rather than spouting crap then we might actually not be in the drop zone. Mind you it comes from the top, lam-berk has been patronising the fans from day one with his ‘we’ll be fine’ and ‘we go again’ nonsense. How about winning some games you moron.

i think a lot of it is modern football. fans want to hear what players managers think ect but when things arent going well it dont look or sound too good.
its the age of twitter sound bites and basically bollocks and villa pr trying desperately to put something positive up is all it is.
if we were playing well we might be interested what the players had to say about it, for that matter if the players were allowed to truthfuly say what they think instead of pr bullshit that actually would be interesting!
its just page filling crap is all.
i agree, the less said at the moment unless its something truthful the better, best left on the pitch to do the talking lads.
just think before the internet age players, even top player probably got in print 3 or 4 times a season in the nationals, a handful in the locals and every now and then in match day programs. these days press is trying desperately to come up with something every minute of the day and if you were villa pr at the moment, well shit! thats a tough job this season!
I’ve encroached on this very subject in my latest post Ian.
Totally coincidental, rest assured, but with a crap internet connection, the thought of editing was just too much, so I just went with it.
Apologies.
no probs mate … different angle on it.
Does not help we have to wait until monday and look at others results before then
Everton v Reading
Southampton v QPR
Wigan v Liverpool
We know what we may like here, two scouse and one cockney victory but we could see a disaster of the opposite quite easily
Everton win
Southampton win
Wigan draw
Were fucked, but how the hell could we have survived in the hands of Lerner and that fat, clueless twat Faulkner
Were = we’re sorry
Saddened Mate can;t see anyone doing us any favours have been a fan through good bad & indifferent times at VP and these have got to be the worst in 63yrs.Who is to blame got to be Lerner Faulkner & Lambert each and everyone of them is to blame.Lerner for not having a footballing man i;e a director of football to advise on players the club should go for to move the club forward ,Faulkner for wanting to squeeze out every ounce of profit he can from the club.
Then we come to Lambert it;s is inhabillity to realise that you need a mixture of youth & experience in a sucessfull team.
Spot on Terry, very sad – i have had a season ticket since the late 70s and not missed a home game for 12 years, my last game was Newcastle, i wont go again, i used to go to games with pride and optimism, this season its just dread !
Some of my relatives live in upper state new york so know a bit about yanks taking over sport clubs over here, they said it will be all fanfare to start with and enjoy the times, then he will get bored and the investment wont decrease but just stop.
There’s a nice irony to this post.
That’s one big problems with the club- COMMUNICATION. From the top there is none. Lerner isn’t interested in the fans (or the club in general any more).
The only channels of communication we get now is players and manager coming out with these cringe worthy interviews. If everyone was so great, then we wouldn’t be stuck in the bottom 3. Its not making anyone feel better, in fact its taking the piss as the fans are the ones getting patronised.
Stop with the interviews and start performing on the pitch, all though it is a little late for that now.
Lerner doesn’t say enough.
The players and manager say too much.
Villa are crap.
Same old on here…
Testing
How come we can talk drivel on this site and we all read and engage with it, so it’s ok. But when the players do it we tell them to shut the fuck up. At least they are talking to us. I would sooner hear about opportunity, possibilities and objectives, as opposed to no communication or doom and gloom. For the players to play to win in these last 11 matches they have to approach it with a positive mindset. And that is all they are expressing in published interviews.
