Weimann May Not Sign Deal

Well here is some bad news, Villa young star Andreas Weimann has recently rejected the first contract proposal and may in fact leave the club. Recent reports today state that Wiemann will stall contract talks until the end of the season in order to insure that Villa remain in the Premier League. The young Austrian currently earns around 15,000 a week and the initial proposed deal wasn’t much of an improvement on his current. Aston Villa want Weimann to sign a new long-term deal but there have been some stumbling block.

“It would be great for the long term if Andreas signs,” said Lambert. “We’re still talking at the minute so we’ll see what happens there.

“The way he conducts himself on the pitch and in training is excellent. He has been really on top of his game and taken his chance in the first team.” – Lambert

Weimann’s representatives have named the proposed deal as ‘disappointed’ because of the low wages. But Weimann says that he’s most likely to commit to a new deal it all depends on the deal that Aston Villa offer. I hope that Villa don’t go cheap and let him go, Weimann is a talent and he has to stay! Hopefully for a number of seasons but if we lose Benteke, then I’d like to have at least Weimann still at the club. I’ll update you guys on any developments but so far things don’t look to good.
