Villa, please back the fans to back the players

It is perfectly clear what is required and our fate will be decided in home games.

For those home games left to survive we will need to win at least three home games if not 4. Our record at home is so abysmal then we need full support and full houses from the fans. Now of course we have not had a full house since the Liverpool game under McAllistair when Blues went down.

That is an obvious reaction to where we are and some of the dire stuff served up since. So now come on Villa do your thing. Unless we are broke what I will suggest will not break the bank and could help save us and Lerner Millions.

My idea is to reduce the prices across the board and target certain groups. As a season ticket holder I know many may complain but we need full houses down there and atmosphere’s.

So the idea is this –

- For all seats in the ground reduce kids prices to £5 and for all the remaining games just £25
- For all seats in the ground reduce 16-21 to £10 and for all remaining games just £40
- For all seats in the ground reduce 21 and above to £15 and for all remaining games just £60

- All season ticket holders to get two £5 tickets and one adult ticket to be used at any game this season

- For the other 4 games they can purchase adult tickets at £10 and kids at £3

- Anyone who has purchased a full priced ticket for these games already get a free ticket for another game

I know this seems extreme but the situation we are in is extreme and the measures have to be taken. Of course if we are as broke as the signings of Sylla and Dawkins suggest then this will not happen and we will see low 30K crowds again.

  1. Ian im fully behind that idea, but you haven’t a hope in hell that this would happen.greed springs to mind.

    • not so much greed but I am wondering if Randy has totally withdrew his backing leaving the club with no cash at all.

So yes they will not do this at all and nothing will change

  2. I won’t be setting foot inside VP again until lamberk, lerner and faulkner have all gone. Haven’t been since the pathetic debacle at home to wigan. If you want to get through to the club, BOYCOTT. We are going down regardless, there is zero chance this team will finish above Wigan. Imagine an empty VP on TV, would send a very strong message

    • Lerner has stated that Villa will be self sufficient, you wont affect Lerner pocket by boycotting, it means less money going back into Villa, by boycotting you are doing more damage than good

  3. Yes, desperate measures are needed, but as has been said, it simply won’t happen, as this sort of thing just doesn’t, does it?
Why the club would prefer higher prices and low crowds is beyond me and surely any idiot knows that a full house with a good atmosphere can only be a good thing.
Mind you, it’s Faulkner we’re talking about here, I guess.

  4. Morgan..spot on. Its in adversity that the club need you most. Never forget that the club belongs to US regardless of how much or how little Randy has spent. The club will ALWAYS be ours long after I, Randy or many of us have passed on. This is not a toy that you can discard just because your a bit fed up with it. The Villa is OURS and I have no need of a cut price ticket to support it, no matter what the circumstances!
And BTW we will NOT be relegated!

  5. Player have had the backing all season, surprisingly as has the clueless oaf that calls himself a manager. The useless turds keep talking about how they want to put things right and then what- they LOSE AGAIN. They couldn’t care less and therefore they don’t deserve any support. The useless twats should be properly addressing the fans on why they have served up garbage all season. And as for lam-berk, is there a more patronising individual in football, just mumbles his way through every dour press conference churning out the same dross that doesn’t wash. The club is a complete shambles at every level.
Support and respect has to be earned, these lower league losers don’t deserve it.

  6. There have been quite a few times this season that I haven’t been able to give my season ticket away !!!!!!! The football is that bad villa fans would rather stay away than have there weekend ruined by going to villa park .

  7. dont think you can fault the fans this year, lambert and the players have had our backing the whole season.

    • Villa is in my blood and my eight year old grandsons! I know for a fact that he will be taking me down the Villa next, regardless of what division we are in- lol. But I like the idea of full houses, atmosphere and all that. Thing is, they have to play the type of football that means we are competing, especially against those around us in the league. That is the least we should expect and be given! Come on Villa make it happen, reduce ticket prices, play attractive, attacking football and fill the ground. Faulkner, wake up and do your fucking job. Still a season ticket holder TID.
