Yes its shit, noone is disputing that, but all the moaning and bitching will do sweet fuckall. We are stuck with what we have…the window is closed, Randy has given up caring(if he ever did)… But, we still have a great club…and must not let the politics deter our support in any way at least until we get to may. All we can do is support.
Everytime this club has been knocked down we have come back stronger and better. This will be no exception. I refuse to let a yank sway me from my affection..not now, not ever. Randy may have the money, but he clearly does not have, or could never have, the same love, loyalty and support of us fans..the battle is lost, but the war has only just started and we will be victorious..of that I have NO doubt.

Ian, I think between Reading last minute 1-0 and Liverpool 3-1, and the Norwich victory in the Quarter-Final, he really believed he would be in at least one Final and mid-table on 30 points now.
Given how disastrous the collapse, he must fear that this is his last Premiership job and that his reputation in England has fallen to below pre-Norwich days.
Lambert may get much worse in media interviews before the season is over.
On the other hand, he may cling on to hope of survival until the last few games.
If football was predictable, then we know exactly how this ends this season.
But a penalty and sending off of a goalkeeper in the first five minutes of any game could produce an unlikely and undeserved three points. Despite the fact Villa this season make Wolves last season under MacCarthy seem a class act, the team may never be more than a few points short of survival. There are several very weak Premiership Teams towards the bottom this year just fortunate that they are not around in previous years.

nah but stating the obvious. I have said for two seasons that the PL is very very weak, we survived last season when the points tally should have seen us easily down, could happen again this season.
However you can rebuild in the PL, thats a fallacy. Wenger has been rebuilding for 8 years now and look at what he has won.
you have to spend whilst in the PL (the likes of Swansea built a bas in the lower leagues) and until we square that then we will continue to struggle.
We need to move on a lot of players, and i dont think anyone wants them
course not or otherwise would have gone.. However a solution is to somehow get the best out of them and a few kids, not this madness we see now !
Well we need to work on tactics when the other team is attacking, we give away too much space. The second half performance in comparison to the first was like watching two completely different teams. I find the madness between the two halves in most games worrying
thing is that it is all random, sometimes the first half good and second poor and then like we saw ion Tuesday the other way round. Tuesday may have been the first time a Lambert change actually improved the situation.

A lot of people need to remember that the media hate us, the only reason they are saying all this big club stuff is because McLeish got turned over by the Villa board. We have a lot of unfortunate bullshit surrounding our club. This same media was saying that we are expecting too much and should be happy with our lot have now this year changed the tune to one of Villa is a massive club and deserve better

i can see villaninthebloods point and he’s right in that we are stuck with this situation for the forseeable future and as fans all we can do is support our club as of course we all will until the day we die.
that said my desire to go spend my hard earned cash following the team this season is fast dwindling. as a brummie in exile in the north west i didnt get a season ticket this year as due to cash and work i can only realistically get to about 10 home games a season, away games in liverpool, manchester, wigan and formerly bolton and blackburn are a must yet today i will not be travelling to everton. its not just the couple of 100 quid for tickets, travel, drinkies and a bottle of single malt to drown my sorrows its the prospect of watching us once again get humiliated, not beat but taken apart by poor and mediocre teams that we cant even hope to compete against. add to that the disgraceful transfer activity in the face of our current situation and lamberts awful tactical decisions and hearing the same old shite ‘we will be fine….i beleive…ect, ect’
im not being a fickle fan or poor supporter i love our club as we all do but i just can’t face it.
christ im a villan so its not like im a glory hunting fan who’s not used to loosing i’ve seen my share of heart ache as we all have but its all take, take, take at villa this season with nothing given back. not even matchday optomism has had me racing to liverpool early today as a tiny insane part of me says ‘its a football match, everton cant keep a clean sheet, you never know, it could be another liverpool 3-1′ a more realistic part of me says ‘we’re gonna get slaughtered! it’ll be a nightmare and we’ll get up and take our medicen and be fine again!’
