Makes sense doesn’t it ? Explains a lot.

A friend who works for PMG told me about a Plan they have been working on for AVFC called Accounts Rebalancing – the big deal is not so much what we will pay in transfer fees but the long term salaries.

Policy is for every sold player when replaced the incoming player is on no more than 50% of their wages. This explains why Lerner went for Lambert who has always dealt in unknowns, and why all of our signings have come from lower leagues where they players will come in for £15-£20k, instead of £40k plus. Hence why we cannot attract players from any other prem clubs – and also why Henke has not been able to bring in any players from major Euro leagues.

With Hutton and possibly Warnock moving on Lambert has £40k wages to play with – so expect 2 signings in the £1.5 to £2m bracket – players earning up to £20k – that we probably havent seen play, or even heard of.

and I would add players at this level of course are what you pay for and average at best. Of course if any of them like Benteke do any good then bye bye when they get other clubs offering proper PL wages.
