This FA Cup round has been excellent. Proper football, proper tackling and proper games and not surprising some wimp Prem League teams could not stand it.

So when I read this tweet from Jack Grealish a young Villa midfielder it depresses you about the state of modern Prem League younger players.

Of course Ramos is actually a thug with sneaky attacks on opposition players. However the point is that today Oldham like Leeds, like Millwall, like Luton have played a proper man’s game. If our academy is teaching the younger players like this then no wonder few of them can hack it.

Maybe this attitude may explain why no one in the lower leagues want to loan Grealish and give him some much needed experience of first team football ? Does he really think playing against say Vidic or Kompany is easy then, they are real physical but on the quiet.

Maybe when you watch how in these games the PL players can not cope with physical challenges it explains the dire state of PL football at the moment. I have no worries or fears in saying that we to survive should get physical, lump the ball and get stuck in.

Tippy tappy football only is effective if the players are good enough, just get stuck in if poor players and the rewards can be there.
