Lets assume Lerner is fed up of throwing money down the drain. If the figure of 250m that has been outlaid is correct thats equivalent of a 1/4 of his wealth. He interviewed Lambert and said you can have £23 million do with it what you will if you need anymore you will have to generate it from sales. But when it is gone it is gone. Put in to perspective i moan as much as the next bloke but my £500 a year season ticket compared with say Gabbys wages of £60k a week is F all.

According to the papers we are the 5th biggest spender over the last 6 years so you would expect us to be in the top 6. The appointment of Mcleish was a disaster but the majority of fans (including myself) was happy with the appointment of Lambert.
Lerner has had no return on his money to date and it would be a catastrophe for him financially and us emotionally if we get relegated but what if he spent big and we still went down where would that put us.
Personally there are times when i wish i just didn’t love this game so much cos to be honest its bloody depressing most of the time. I’ll be on the tablets soon.
