The next few games will not only defy Villa’s season but may also defy Villa’s future. Aston Villa is a club in free fall, or as I believe it; a crisis! I am not the one to become negative but all my finger nails are almost bitten off. We’ve struggled in the league, failed to progress to the cup final in expense of a League 4 side and there has been zero transfer activity.
Randy Lerner has a huge decision to make, back or sack. Now I am not blaming Lerner at all, he’s funded the club millions over the last couple of years, including 20 million in the summer. And I bet that he’s also paying a lot of wage money. Also 20 million is a lot of money, I believe that Everton and Stoke have spent less. If Lerner was to sack P. Lambert he would have to find a replacement under 24 hours, Di Matteo comes to mind. Or he opens his wallet and gives Lambert, perhaps 10 million. That’ll be enough, I hope.
The lack of transfer activity is also making me a bit nervous because Newcastle, Reading, QPR and Sunderland have all spent. They’ve also brought in some quality players, we’ve done nothing. What worries me is that we have no targets, no rumours what so ever. One of the only links we’ve had, Sissoko has stated his desire to join Newcastle!

I was behind Lambert at the beginning, but something is seriously wrong. Youth hasn’t worked, I want to see the likes of Vlaar, Dunne, Warnock, Ireland and Bent all starting. I don’t care if they aren’t ‘quality’ players; I think they’d do better then those we’ve seen playing. I’d also like to apologise for the rant, but man; this has been a tough and embarrasing period as a Villa fan.

Calling RL out a VP is exactly what the club want because you are feeding the coffers. Like a broken record I will say it yet again…don’t go and the club will listen when it hits them in the pocket. Nothing more and nothing less.
This team is going down at some point and each week it more likely to be this season. The premier league is all about MONEY and if you don’t have or spend enough of it you eventually suffer.

i want to back lambert but our tactics an defending in the past 2 months have been nothing short of abysmal.

Sack just can;t afford to lose one more league game or the inevitable is going to happen,and with no new signings on the horizen not many days left of the window there is only one course of action that can be taken try and bring in a intrim manager fund him to bring in 2 or 3 experienced players and just maybe we can stay up but the longer the club let Lambert carry on then the fans worst nightmare is going to happen.
I can’t believe we aren’t looking to invest, we deserve to be relegated, it’s that simple, what absolute fucking arrogance from the club to flirt with relegation the way we are, it’s beyond a joke and i’ve had it with both Lambert and Lerner, i will not be attending any more games, this is a kick in the face to all the fans out there spending hard earned money to watch utter tripe, i’m livid, will somebody please wake me up when the nightmare is over.
Guest mate have you heard the latest mumbled excuse to come out of Lamberks mouth not made any signings as we are being priced out.To me thats some bloody feeble excuse for him not to go for experience.
You have to wonder why though, i’m not so sure it’s purely down to him, Lerner must have something to do with it, put it this way, what manager would refuse funds to buy better players?
I hope Millwall stuff us tonight, i really do, pains me to say it, i feel like a wanker for saying it, but winning tonight will do us no favours at all.
Guest mate i think Lamberk is afraid to bring in E P L experienced type players as it will show that his plan is and as not worked and he can only handle young lower league players.
Back or sack lol Lambert is backed 100% by Lerner so he won’t be going anywhere even if relegated.You can back or YOU can sack goin down the villa up 2u.
