Speculation – Well where is it

Normally by this stage of the window with a little over a week left it is busy for us all.

OK so a lot of the stuff you read is made up rubbish but we know that. For example people actually thought we would go with Sissoko. Just how funny it was to watch people talk about something that would never happen. Over the years I understood this whilst others took it far too seriously.

We know what the plans are for transfers as we saw it in the summer. Low wage, younger players with a point to prove is the way we are going. Whether you agree with this or not is not the point. Any talk of transfers outside of these parameters is just fantasy land stuff. This of course makes the life of made up rumour mongers difficult, they have no idea who this could be and realise other names are plain stupid.

Along with this I am of the firm belief that this window we have to sell to buy. Not so much for the transfer cash but to keep within a predefined wage limit. There is no flexibility on this plan I believe and this means we will be doing business late depending if we can shift any players out.

With injuries now receding I do not believe we have any need of a defender nor a forward. What we need desperately are two quality midfielders but I see no chance of us getting one. We are in the Westwood and KEA markets and that only ends up in relegation struggles and maybe worse.

  1. So… is there any speculation yet? Incoming or outgoing?

  2. Yeah, I saw that one. The club would be crazy to let Bent go to anyone near us in the table. My gut feeling is he’ll be off come summer regardless.
