According to the Mirror, we’re about to be dumped by the mighty company sponsor that is Genting.
Let’s face it, before they sponsored us had you ever heard of them?
And when they sponsored us, have you ever seen them mentioned anywhere else apart from on Villa sites?
No, nor have I.
They’re a two bit company , in my opinion.
How the commercial department pulled that one off (it was a record deal apparently), I’ll never know: but I’ll give the credit here to Paul Faulkner, as I believe this sort of thing is his forte.
Well done Paul, it’s about all you’re good for when it comes to footy.
I can’t be doing with sponsors that are gambling related, simple as and hate the way the game whores itself out to anyone that will pay the money.
But no doubt some of you will think different.

Yes if this is true who the hell is going to sponsor a club that is not making any progress or moving forward because of bad managerial appointments,and everybody should be in no doubt about the last two have been nothing short of diasterouse.That is why we now find ourselfe in the position we are now in.In my opinion Genting have took a good hard luck at what is happening and can see that under Lambert things are only going to get worse and my opinion is they don;t want their name tarnished and what reputable company would.

The Genting 2 deal is ending, they are not cancelling early, don’t understand the issue or using the terminology ‘dumped’ the contract has simply run it’s course.
They have have advertised/showcased their brand at a Premier League club for 2 years when the contract expires. As people on here have said, they didn’t know who Genting were, now they do, and we know they are at star city and are building a mega casino and lesure complex at the Nec so it’s job done

They don’t need to advertise as the shirt sponsor any more. I am sure they will continue as a club sponsor to some capacity, especially as they are the bookies at villa park.

Thats a fair and balanced response it will be interesting to see who the next sponsor will be, its a similar situation to the scout leaving could be something out of nothing but i await to see who replaces eagerly

If it was happening on the pitch then they would have extended. We’re not, so they haven’t.
