Not much to say really, but I actually thought this was a pretty fair assessment;
I personally think most papers talk a load of rubbish when it comes to the Villa. But Russell Kempson gets a bit of credit from me for this one.
It’s probably not what we want to hear, but there you go, I’ll do as I usually do and say it as I see it.
I also agree with his MOTM too.
Puncheon was pretty good, imo.

I dont believe the club will release how much they are spending unless they are looking to underplay it. However this £10m figure keeps on getting thrown around, now the club did say some time ago that they had money to spend on players but not on wages as the wage budget was over stretched, we have seen a massive exodus and players sold to the tune of £70m. I believe the books are now balanced and we are looking at bringing in new faces without having to sell players, is it possible that this £10m is a figure for wages over a period of time, so for example £10 million available over one season means just under £200k a week.
Over two seasons 100k a week and so on, its just a thought and not based on fact
Jeroen lumu doin the rounds 17year old Willem II striker rumour is we are having a look.Otherwise all other player ru.ours quiet.
Funniest quote of the year so far from VP
‘Henke wont be leving until Feb at the earliest so it wont affect our transfer activity’……Is anyone aware of any transfer activity? Conversely it could be a hint that Henke has in fact lined up some experienced signings…we live in hope!
This is sort of akin my line of thinking. Most deals are done before January so let’s pray we lined a few gems up!
Dont bet on it lads were a sitting duck, sack lambert m’lord sack lambert sack lambert m’lord sack lambert oh lord sack lambert
We want lerner out we want lerner out we want lerner out
We are almost half way through the transfer window and there is barely a whisper! What the hell is going on?
Express & star this evening say lerner’s prepared to loosen the purse strings to stave off the threat of relegation, please dont shoot the messenger.
To little to late should of done that in the summer at the start of the season. If we get a few good ones into a relegation battling side I will be shocked.
I think a few jd is a bit optimistic the word “couple”has been mentioned alot.we all live in hope mate.
We need three players in min or we are down..
For strength & depth lionheart most certainly,it’s plain to see the fans now it unfortunately aston villa fc dont.
If you are a betting person as I am not Paddy power have us odds on for the drop.
Lambert knows we need reinforcements, but has not got the balls to say so, Faulkner thinks we play football with bats as thats what he was taught at Cambridge and Lerner knows absolutely nothing abput ‘soccer’ so relys on Faulkner for all his guidance.
Therefore there is only one way out of this mess……..Sack that tosser Faulkner get someone in who knows about football and let them explain to Lerner where his money has been spent and where it needs to be spent NOW!
WBA,Bradford,millwall,Newcastle,Everton,westham,arsenal how many points realistically?
Hard to say mate no one gave us a chance v Liverpool away though I think that was a one if but like Chelsea last year.
Absolutely nil points, Liverpool was a fluke they should have put 4 past us in the first 20 minutes and if they had we would have collapsed like normal and lost by 4-5, no plan B and a ceo with zero football knowledge!
And so should Swansea…
5 points from the 5 games. I can see us somehow winning 1 of them, drawing 2 and getting demolished twice if nothing changes.
If we lose to the baggies I fear the worst in the two cup games.
Rumour has it Lerner will open the purse strings but not over the top spending.Im thinking 7-8mill per man?
If true, I’d say probably 1 midfielder, most needed position imo, costing that, then maybe a couple 3-5m signings in the others.
Lets pray Lerner and Lambert have some say, as i wouldnt trust Faulkner making me a mug of tea let alone the most important transfers in our clubs history!
Ive just been looking into bradford city pretty sad i know, but one thing stood out they dont travel well once they leave there safe haven they dont perform.could be beneficial.
Remy is having a medical at QPR tomorrow.. They still after Olsson and Odemwinge..
This is a team that didn’t concede a goal against two teams who smashed 12 past us..!!
We need to wake up and smell the coffee immediately.. I’m shell shocked with the silence coming from Villa park.. Right now we are down make no mistake.. Forget the positivity just look at the facts form clean sheets goals scored.. Ask urself would we be able to score 3 in 8 minutes to win a game.. Can we keep two clean sheets in a row against two free scoring teams..
I’m not a negative person.. I still believe but facts are there for everyone to see.. We need quality ASAP…..!!!
Don’t worry, Lion, just relax mate. We only need another seven wins this season to reach the magic 40 points so often deemed the safety mark for survival. Peace of piss mate.
A Lemming.
Lol
Make that “piece of piss” by the way!
