streetlyvillian has submitted this article in which he looks ahead into the future fixtures and gives his analysis of what sort of results he would be content with.
We have a vital twenty days coming up. How do people believe we will fair? What we have at stake is Premier League survival, a League Cup Final and an opportunity to reach the 5th Round of the FA Cup.
I have listed them in the order of importance, but as they say taking each game as it comes we have four Cup Finals in twenty days.
First we have Southampton, which really is a six-pointer, win this and we put some clean air between the drop zone and us. Then we have WBA that is a pride of the midlands match. Following that we have the second-leg of the League Cup Final, a revenge match if ever there was one. Next up is FA Cup 4th Round against Milwall at the Den on a Friday night for god’s sake; and finally, Newcastle, another team struggling to put a run together.
So what might we be looking back on come 30th January? My shout is for – Win against Southampton (3-2); Draw with WBA (1-1); Win against Bradford (4-1 aet); Lose against Milwall (2-0); and draw with Newcastle (0-0). And, I would be quite happy with that.
I would be happy with that to, FA cup at the moment is to big a distraction.
Today’s game is a must not lose game if there ever was.
I put my neck on the line and go for a 3-1 win.
Draw against baggies is about.
I do think we will turn over Bradford thou, we did create chances against just did not convert we will at home.
The newcastle game is a tricky one, but it is also a must not lose game.
If we can bring in a few old heads, I do think we will be OK but only JUST!!!
I’d take a final to the League over a run in the FA Cup but boy do we need a win today. If we lose I think that the fans will turn at Lambert and I doubt we’ll win more games this season
I agree it’s a huge game today i hope we get a full house at vp .not to sure about the millwall prediction i favour us for that but thats me, the baggies its a derby form guide out the window.i have faith in turning bradford over.newcastle another huge game there in some trouble no ba we can get something there.hopefully a rosey month it would be nice to get some happiness back into the fans hearts after whats an absolute dire dec.please get behind the team folks.UTV IVTID.

Loving the optimism, guys. Having watched Southampton recently, they look a very organised unit, so our defenders will have to step things up about four or five gears! I pray that they’ve been working on defending set pieces since the Bradford game! I still think we have very good attacking options and have the potentially to be quite damaging, but the question is whether the midfield can get the ball that far up the pitch!
Spot on mate that’s the worry. We are not going to learn How to defend properly in a couple of days. Lambert does fuck all in training ground and if he stays we need to get a top defensive coach in ASAP
Right lads my predictions minus cup games.

West Ham 3 Villa 0
Arsenal 6 Villa 0
Man City 4 Villa 0
Reading 0 Villa 0
QPR 1 vILLA 1
Liverpool 4 Villa 0
Stoke 3 Villa 0
Fulham 3 Villa 2
Man U 8 Villa 0

Put me head on block here but unless we get some experienced players in soon in my opinion this is how the rest of our season is going to play out.Hope to god i am wrong but can;t see any light at the end of the tunnel.
Wow that’s little confidence, here are my predictions:
Villa 2-1 Southampton
West Brom 3-1 Villa

Aston Villa 2-0 West Ham
I think we’ll win more home games in the second half of the season with the away games being more difficult
Tel j youre definately someone i wouldn’t go for an enjoyable drink with.that’s just beyond negativity youre one fucking sad individual.
Not as sad as the ones whom wanted LAMBERT as manager the mess we are in must lie at their door for persuading Randy he was the man they wanted and would bring glory to our great club.Oh by the way you would not be able to keep up with me when have got a thirst on or drowning me sorrows mate.
Tel j “drowning”is such an appropriate word if you get my drift.
