Premier league? Your having a laugh! Lerner where are you?

Premier league your having a laugh sang the Bradford faithful last night! And who can argue with that? After the latest humiliation of last night it’s time for us fans to get answers from the club. The silence at VP at the moment is deafening, there is no communication, no leadership, no plan, no responsibility and most important of all no idea from the club!

The club is in crisis at the moment and everyone at the club seems to be burying their head in the sand. This cannot go on and as Villa fans who pay a fortune to the club we want answers…now! Everyone on the playing and management side has to take reonsibility. Lerner and Faulkner must take their fair share too. I have said since MON left that all Lerner wants is a team that can finish 4th from bottom-well Randy it dosn’t look like you can even get that right anymore!!

Questions have to be asked about Lambert now. There are too many people on this site that keep giving Lambert the benefit of the doubt. Why? It seems that because AM is not manager then any other manager that does appallingly can get away with it. If AM was in charge now we would be screaming for his head and quite right to. So why are we not screaming for Lambert to go as his record is actually worse than AM. Why are we not questioning why the defence keeps on conceding goals game after game after game from corners? When the opposing team get a corner of us it’s almost as good as them having a penalty. What is Lambert doing (or not doing) on the training ground? Please do not use the lack of premier experience argument as our youngsters showed last night they are not good enough for division 2 let alone the premier.

Lerner for Gods sake please tell us what’s going on we deserve answers-now!!

  1. Maybe he’s balancing the books to sell up, maybe the sports industry has now worn too thin for him.

  2. I am not so sure i want Lambert to go, however i dont think i will be to bothered if he does go atm either.

I want Faulkner out of our club, he has to go, i know Lerner is the one who employed him, however the remit has been achieved and if the cut the wages any further we will be playing bradford twice a season within a couple of years.

The club is in freefall and i think we need to leave the manager alone and get on the backs of the board they are the ones who are making the real decisions then sticking someone else face on it to take the flack. Firstly Mcleish and now Lambert.

I know some fans will say what about Lerner or Lambert we have to do this the right way, we keep on changing managers that is not fixing it if anything we seem to be getting worse. is that down to Lambert or lack of stability. If we get rid of Faulkner and these problems are still at the club then we will know 100% that the problem is Lerner.

I think our problems are not on the training field but they belong at our CEO’s door, if the new CEO feels we need to take on a different manager then we should follow that decision, for me to stop the rot of the last three years we have to remove one of the two constants since the troubles began

  3. Something is up with the piss poor defensive displays but like other have said the back four, as bad as they have been, aren’t getting any support from the supposed DM’s. that has to be a priority and not a new manager. Mid jan we will see new signings I just hope it’s not too late.

  4. Ever since di matio won the champions league I can’t help but feel managers are just average men and can be very hit and miss

  5. Personally, PL is not the problem. He’s just the latest player in the quicksand that is Villa at the moment. We’ve had three seasons of below par performance and a merry-go-round of managers since. All with the same outcome. If anything I would say the blame lies with upper management and the players themselves. Regardless of their age or experience they should know the past month has been unacceptable and should be fighting harder to improve rather than allowing this chaos to ensue.

Now before going on, I have to say I still have hope and belief in the long term project, our strategy of buying young ambitious players, and in Lambert himself. Although sadly after these past few weeks we no longer have the luxury to wait for these players to pull their head out of their ass. So our options are simple; either RL stumps up big money like he did with MON and GH, or he doesn’t. Either way, transfers or loans, without some quality additions to our defense and midfield we are going to continue to have poor results. However you look at it we simply lack the quality right now and I don’t blame PL for trying to work miracles with a bi-polar squad and a shoe string budget.

    • Problem is lambert has been by far the worse and the stats show that. We are breaking every negative record out there. I just can’t bring myself to watch the team any more under him together with the useless muppets our academy has churned out.
I don’t trust him one bit in the transfer market anyway, if he thinks the likes of joe bennett are PL players then his delusion knows no bounds

      • Sure if you only follow the stats, but we’ve been breaking negative statistics for the past three seasons. All with different managers. So for me it’s pointless hoisting all the blame on Lambert. He was given roughly 20M-25M so far to replace four years of the club trimming an already thin and fragile squad. So, it was always going to be a summer of getting quantity over quality. Up until now he’s only been able to work with the players he’s been able to attract this summer. It’s been rough and I’m not going to sing praise about our current form, because let’s be honest its woeful, but with the window open there is still time to fix this mess.

For me, I have the utmost faith in Lamberts transfer policies. He was smart enough to bring back Guzan and the likes of Westwood, Lowton, and Benteke look like good signings. You have to remember these players are replacing, Petrov, Hutton, and Heskey. So, he’s done alright so far and he’s made attempts to bring in experienced quality players (ie. Vlaar, Dempsey). As for Bennett, unlike the others he has just come back from injury so while he has been a weak link of late he should come good.

  6. How about Terry Butcher for villa manager or David Beckham as player manager with at least £80 million to spend, I said last summer we needed to spend £40 to stand still and the cost is going up every day.

  7. Ffs only £10 m to spend fuckin joke Lerner fuck off now. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/view/292160/?

    • Reports in Italy claim a 10m bid for Coutinho’s been rejected by Inter from Villa, so who honestly knows if the Daily Star’s actually right. (Doubt it is).

  8. Sorry bit I believe randy backs his managers well. 20 mill in the summer and 10 mill this window. 30mill in one season should have been enough in my eyes. Trouble is I personally think lambert wasted it. Think about it. 10 mill in defence, midfield and a striker each. That really should have been the turning point! Remember van der vart? 7million! Jesus what are we playing at. For me it’s quality not quantity. There were a team once that win the league with the same players through the whole season! Remember?
