Mat Kendrick has written a good piece HERE about the summer plans.
We all know that finances will be very tight and wages even tighter. therefore we can guess where possible the likes of Dunne, Warnock, Ireland, Petrov will be on the list to try and sell. Of course Bosman’s on wages are never that cheap. To compensate for the lack of a fee the wages go higher and this is our problem.
So on the excellent site – transfermarkt.co.uk they can list all those players on Bosmans in the summer. I have done a search and I get this result – LINK
Because of the wages I think we can rule out the likes of Drogba, Adebayor and the such like. I would not say the list is current because Berbatov for example signed up to a new contract but you get the idea. On a Rangers site they came up with this list
Craig Gordon (Goalkeeper – Sunderland)
Maynor Figueroa (Left Back – Wigan Athletic)
Gennaro Gattuso (Central Midfielder – AC Milan)
Mohammed Diame (Central Midfielder – Wigan Athletic)
Tonel (Central Defender – Dinamo Moscow)
Robert Koren (Central Midfielder – Hull City)
Brett Holman (Right Midfielder – AZ Alkmaar)
Peter Lovenkrands (Left midfielf/striker – Newcastle)
Ricardo Fuller (Striker – Stoke City)
Julien Faubert (Right Wing/wingback – West Ham)
Amr Zaki (Striker – Zamalek SC)
Ivan Klasnic (Striker – Bolton Wanderers)
Christian Pander (Left wing back – Hannover 96)
Jaime Gavilan (Left midfield – Getafe)
Daniel Larsson (Striker – Malmo)
Wesley Verhoek (Right winger – ADO Den Haag)
Nacho Novo (Striker – Sporting Gijon) -
Danny Swanson (Right Winger/Attacking midfielder – Dundee United)
Obviously this list is biased to what they could have afforded (list was posted prior to their collapse) but it gives a good idea. Some names on there are promising though, Diame etc.
Interesting debate if Mcleish is still manager.
