Went to the VMF for a meal tonight.
For Valentines I decided to take a meal at the much liked VMF at Villa Park. got to say for £20 per head it is fantastic and the directors lounge is a really good venue. Would definitely recommend it to anyone. However the bonus is that as walk along teh Trinity you can sneak into the boxes, go into the stand, sit in Randy’s area. Why they have the heating on in the boxes is a bit of a mystery though !!
So here are pictures, unique really of Villa Park on the night of a match. Some pictures are not great, blame my phone !! My Mrs’s phone was much better. What you could see when there was the groundstaff working on the pitch and the TV crew setting up all the cameras.

Glad you enjoyed VMF, as you say excellent value, this was especially so in January. Have been going regularly since it opened, I am sorry they have however changed the Sunday lunch to a carvery, it is now just very good but not exceptional, and I dont think a carvery is worth travelling to VP when I can get similar locally.
Liked the photos, think what VMF is doing is great for the locals with such high class training, just hope Sundays revert to what they were! With the 4 o’clock KO today I will be lucky to get a balti pie for lunch!
I agree previous style of sunday lunch was better & would be happy if it returned but won’t stop me going for lunch again soon.
As for getting similar locally not a chance the quality of the food still far superior. Level of service whenever you go is outstanding & no different with the carvery what makes your meal enjoyable is the priority not how quick they can throw the food on the plate.
Mrs O I agree completely that the service is excellent, but at the end of the day a carvery is a carvery, the format takes a percentage of service out of the overall experience – hence my downgrading from excellent “old way” to “very good” new format! I dont think I mentioned speed of throwing food on plate, however like yourself I do value service, in fact I insist on it!
I am perhaps lucky to have excellent restaurants/pubs locally that serve sunday lunch and/or carvery such that the prospect of around 30 mintes drive to get basically the same at VP is not now so appealing. Like you I will continue to attend Saturdays and Fridays. the old adage “he who pays the piper…………………….” comes to mind, life’s competitive, it may well be that the new carvery format is more popular, but not in my case!

And yes, VP is an excellent stadium.
I’ve heard it said from loads of other team’s fans, so it’s not just my bias
VMF is always outstanding – youngsters can teach very many “experienced” catering staff what customer service means.
