5 Great Reasons why we will beat Arsenal next week

After watching Arsenal this afternoon then I have to say there is no reason at all we will not progress to the 5th round of the FA Cup.

There are quite a few reasons for this level of confidence which I will list here. Some of you may say I am mad for saying this but can you say these reasons are not true ?

The first reason are Arsenal’s full backs. They have had massive injury problems in that area over the past few weeks and look so vulnerable there. Walcott in particular offers no real cover at all and today a young kid played on the other side. If we play Albrighton and N’Zogbia (maybe Gabby) on the wings we will get past their full backs and create the crosses Bent desires.

The second reason is Darren Bent. He has a fantastic record against his boyhood favs and remember the goals last season. If you get the supply in from the wings he will score and we will win.

The third reason is the away form. Whilst we have massive problems at home, away from home we are very good and can win at the so called top teams home grounds. We have become compact away from home and with some pace we are becoming the away team we were under MON.

The fourth reason is Wenger. Has he lost it, the substitution he did today cost Arsenal and he is making increasing bizarre calls. Added to this is the fact he often rests his best players for the FA cup and whilst he would want a trophy he will rest RVP and that is 75% of their threat over.

The fifth, final and not least reason are the Villa fans. We are magnificent away from home and thanks to Randy and free coaches at least 6000 will be travelling next Sunday and will make one hell of a noise against the silence from the red corner.

So no need to be timid about next week. No reason to think Arsenal are anything special, the first choice they could play is certainly NOT special anymore. they are totally beatable, we beat Chelsea away so why not Arse ?

ALL the reasons point towards the 5th round.

Maybe Arsenal players have something else on their mind as well :-)

  1. Are we really comparing Arsenal to Aston Villa….didn’t they beat Villa at home recently with pretty much the same squad. With all due respect to your club’s history, i don’t think it will be an easy win for Arsenal especially with TV5 and Koscielny at the back. Arsenal’s only problem right now is right back….i think this will be an easy win for them even with a couple of their players rested. Lets be objective here, this is the same team that almost got a point at Etihad Stadium a couple of weeks ago. As someone has said A. Villa style of play is quite different from Swansea, Man Utd and Spurs…..Unless Wenger makes another “tactical error” this should be an easy win.

    • Dave …. did you actually go to the Villa – Arsenal game ????? we could’ve and should’ve won the game, even Wenger said so after the game ….. the problem our team have at home is the home support and all the negativity that surrounds the club at the moment. This showed against UTD and Liverpool, but against Arsenal the crowd were brilliant for some reason …… Away from home we always give our all from the stands and generally the team has done well ……We can win this game no problem if we go for it.

  3. On a completely different note, here are the Sun ratings of Villa from Saturday Aston Villa:

ASTON VILLA: Given 7, Hutton 6, Collins 5, Dunne 5, Clark 5, Albrighton 5, Petrov 6, Gardner 7 (Bannan 2), Agbonlahor 4 (Warnock 5), Bent 7, Keane 8 (Weimann 1). Subs not used: Guzan, Cuellar, Baker, Delfouneso.

I think the reporter must have been hammered, Collins and Dunne a 5? and personally i thought Warnock was outstanding when he came on

    • Same old same old, the press love to put their two pence worth in when a club is struggling ………. you shouldn’t buy the Sun, its shit.

    • Dunne and Collins were equally responsible for their second goal thou. Both switched of as per usual for corner and both were out jumped by one guy to set up their goal. Always a howler in Dunne and warnock every match although warnock did a bit better on this occassion.

  4. On current form we stand a chance as its away from the doom and gloom of Villa Park’s ever decreasing crowds.
Just hope we don’t get any major injuries and we don’t have to replay.

  5. [...] first half went exactly as I predicted the game would. We were really good, defending well, and allowing a slow and ponderous Arsenal [...]
