We are a proud club with a long long history but does any other club have the influence of our fans ?
Lets start with the PM of the country, it is David Cameron, he is a Villa fan by virtue of his uncle being William Dugdale and no doubt taking him to the games. Cameron may be tearing our country apart at the moment (end of my political speech) but this is no doubt very good promotion for Villa and Acorns.

Next is the future King of England. I am of course a republican but it is undeniable that to have Prince William as a fan is a great thing for Aston Villa. He may have chose us because of an Eton tradition. On this picture note the socks and one widely used in the UK. William is much loved by many and as a Villa fan we could gain a lot of support through him.

So next up to complete a powerful trio of people in British life, possibly the three most influential in all our lives is Mervyn King. He is a long time fan and has often gone to the games. As the Chairman of the Bank of England, in terms of the cash in our pockets, he is the one who controls this. He does retire next year so we will lose him from this position, However as seen from this photo, he is not afraid to wear the colours.
So what more could we wish, well how about a President of the US ?
Yes it is not Obama but could be Mitt Romney who is certain to secure the Republican nomination to run against Obama (do we attract only right wingers !!). You may ask how that maybe he is a Villa fan and the answer is simple, his Grandad as revealed by the Evening Mail came from Aston, how could he not support the Villa ?
Of course add to this the founders of Metal music – Black Sabbath, the founders of New Romantic Music – Duran Duran and what a rich social, economic and political influential fans we have.
Maybe the club should play much more on this ?

Aston Villa News 24/7
On the other hand our illustrious fans consist of the man who is doing his best to boost the very capitalism which caused the financial meltdown ( Cameron ) and the man who was meant to be overseeing the bank of England when the whole banking industry came crashing down ( king ). Considering the value randy has managed to wipe off the villa in the last 18 months, maybe these three deserve to be in bed with each other!!!!
CAMERON is NOT a Villa supporter. In the House of COmmons a decade ago he told the MPs he was not interested in football, and the quote was published in Hansard. it is only since he became Prime Minister that he claims to be a Villa supporter, and he is only seen at matches in London, facing the TV cameras. Blair claimed to have been a Newcastle supporter and to have seen Jackie Milburn, but Milburn retired when Blair was four. However Cameron’s uncle was a supporter, in fact chaired the club before BEndall and Ellis. Sir William DUgdale took his nephew down when he was fourteen. Has he been back to Villa Park since? Does anyone know? Trevor Fisher
In the word?
You forgot the King of Holywood and The Prince of Darkness….
How could you forget Tom Hanks and Ozzy Osbourne?
Ozzy was in black Sabbath so he was mentioned
Play on it Ha get one of them to buy the team
Prince William more though eh
One of the Harry Potter Weasley twins, and the fella who plays Filch are also Villans
It is amazing how once a myth gets established it gets recycled. David Cameron told the House of Commons 12 years ago he was not a football fan. He only uses Villa as a PR stunt, turning up to London matches and facing the Camera.
Little bet- £10 for anyone who ever saw Cameron at Villa Park once he turned 18.
SUprised too that if we are talking mythical fans, no one pointed out that Godber in Porridge was a v illa fan. And he was the product of an over active imagination as well.
