Funny time to announce this.
Chris Herd has signed a new three and half year contract with Aston Villa. A well deserved reward for some very hard work and steady performances. He was never the best of the crop of the kids we had but bloody hell he worked for it ! He has shown the past few games he can become a decent Premier League player, with a bit of bite and some decent passing ability. I do feel however a permanent position for him could well be at right back instead.
Some transfer speculation from the Sunday People linking them for a move for James Collins – LINK. I can see Collins leaving in the summer but would be a risk now in this window.
