Is Heskey planning a return to Leciester in the Winter and Beye to go

I do fell sorry for Emile, he often gets a lot of stick and some of it is not justified.

Playing him in midfield is not his fault and I still think up front for selected games he can do a job. However the Daily Mirror have a story with quotes saying he could leave us.

“My current loyalties are obviously at Villa, but hypothetically I would love to go back. I was born and raised in Leicester, my family still live there, and it is the club where everything started for me.”

The Mirror are speculating that new manager for the Foxes, Nigel Pearson may want to take Heskey as early as the Summer but for that to happen Heskey HAS to take a wage cut. If he left it would obviously open up wages for us to bring someone in so needs to happen.

The people are running a STORY that Habib Beye is a target for Doncaster on Loan but we of course would still have to pay some of his wages.

  1. Didn’t we hear all of this last summer, when Sven was supposed to be desperate to take him back to Leicester?

Anyway, at Emile’s age, while he’s still getting picked for first team starts at VP, and presumably receives a prem salary, why would he want to end that before he has to?
Sentiment can wait until he’s left in the reserves.

  2. of course his contract is up soon anyway

  3. The sooner these two skid marks on the pants of Aston Villa are gone, the better!

  4. One week he is the worst player at the club and a disgrace that he is picked, now he could still do a job! Make your mind up

    • Is that aimed at me ??

he could still have a role up front in some circumstances off the bench but thats about it

      • He is shite, no ifs or buts. He cost 3.5m when he had only 6 months of his contract left and probably 55k a week wages at least, and is it any wonder why people are falling out of love with the game.

  5. Roll up front you having a laugh?yeh he’s a right threat isn’t he?mind you he’s still got a great scoring record nahhhhhhhhht

  6. Your comment is awaiting moderation.

    Oh dear

  7. If Heskey is up front it means the other front man HAS to score. If he doesn’t we will almost certainly lose. Sorry up front he has to score more than one or two every 6 months, we cant afford the luxury, as we dont have many others in the side to make up for his lack of scoring ability.

  8. Big faggott

  9. I hope this is true but sadly i doubt it. It seems we will be stuck with Heskey and Heskey-loving managers for eternity!

  10. I don’t want Heskey to go, I think he gives something, honest, his touch, and the way he holds the ball is quality at times.
As for Beye, I’ll drive him up there tonight if possible.

    • Yeah but wouldn’t be better if his touch was in the far corner (in the net!), as most centre forwards strive for!

  11. I think in a lot of ways Heskey’s work throughout his career has not received the credit it deserves, and a lot of fans on here are seemingly unwilling to even give him a break, or credit him for some good performances.

He may not be the most graceful of players on the pitch but I think he plays a big role in the team.

Heskey played well against Norwich and I think his ability to muscle players off the ball is good. He gives the team a presence to aim for when we have the ball in the air – Bent’s first goal against the Canaries a prime example.

I interpret that comment as a ‘it’s a team I’d like to go back to before I retire’, not a ‘I want to go back there now’. If he were to leave, we’d need to bring in another big man up front. Weimann needs more experience before he fills that role, so who else?

  12. Why dont people admit it, heskey is shit, ill never forget that information i saw on the internet, where two international goalkeepers had scored more goals internationally than heskey, yet they all played the same game.

he is a drain on our club and a waste of a player, taking up the room on the bench that could be filled by a kid with 20x the talent

  13. another moronic article from a guy who doesnt knwo what he is on about……do us all a favour and close this website

    • It actually becomes fascinatingly compulsive.

I couldn’t imagine walking into a room of the regular posters though. Cetainly not at Villa Park anyway lol !
