It seems that Kevin MacDonald IS stepping up to a first team coaching role at #avfc and Gordon ‘Sid’ Cowans will also stay with first team
Now he has no idea why this is happening and whether he is releasing his Reserve Manager duties. It could be that Mcleish felt he needed some help, maybe he does not work well with Cowans. It could be that KM has been approached from another club and we had to promote him to keep him and he is highly rated.
Maybe it is because a lot of youth products will be used and who better to coach them ? It is said that the highly rated Jordan Graham is now training with the first team squad and KM has obviously proved how fantastic he is with them. (100% sure it is THIS reason)
Of course I have to say that Villa should have announced this and sorry Villa but another PR fail. During the game Mat also noticed a new GK coach so maybe we will be told about him, who knows ??

It’s the 10th anniversary of September 11th. If you can’t make up a conspiracy theory today, when can you (ok, in Ian Robos case any day’s ok, but today just cut him some slack).
I would say today is best day to discuss Conspiracy, isn’t 9/11 one afterall with all written and said about it. There is no doubt it’s the anniversay of a sad moment in history, but life goes on and we’ll always remember it. However this is a football site and not anything to do with 9/11, our owners nationality is irrelevant in this discussion. And weren’t the victims from all over the world anyway, so why single his country out for sympathy when other countries have suffered too. Villanuts I don’t believe your sentiments as I believed you used 9/11 to shut us up.
Can we have an article on the change to Richard Dunne this season (so far), the signing of Shay Given seems to have inpsired him, in the game for Ireland he was awesome.

I agree that’s why we signed bent and it worked. The issue is the wages that have been spent in the past 4 years. That’s why we have only invested what we have recouped. FIFA fair play next season and we will have a tiny wage bill. We will be in a strong buying position when everyone else is looking to sell.

Its pretty common place with internal promotions that the person is in the role before its official on paper. He probably took on the role early because he could but didn’t sign the contract for a new job role, which you have to do to keep the tax man happy, until a day later so couldn’t officially be announced before the game. This is because technically its not true.

He should be seeking a buyer if he cant take the club forward. If no one is interested then so be it, but he should still look.
If he cannot take the club forward then yeah, I would have to agree with you he probably should be seeking a buyer but it isn’t a simple process. I’d like to think that, if Randy were considering selling up, he would have enough affection for the club to ensure he found a suitable buyer that could take us forward and not someone of a similar wealth under whom we would continue to stagnate.
However even if he were seeking a buyer we would be the last to know. We all know the PR at Villa is non-existant, not as big a deal to me as it seems to many others (far more concerned with on field affairs and the general health of the club for example) but it is a shambles.
What you and so many like you don’t realise, is that the world is full of rich guys wanting a plaything(How do you think Man City got buyers?). The only way to answer this is for the club to be up for sale(I think you may be surprised). As Randy spent on facilities etc, the club is more attractive than when Deadly owned it, so why wouldn’t anyone want it?
Unlike Everton, we are a very attractive proposition. Modern facilities and room for expansion.
That is very true JPA. Off the field at least we have a lot more going for us than Everton do. What about Newcastle though? They have been looking for a buyer for a couple of years now, wouldn’t you have thought they could have found a backer if there were loads of guys out there looking for a FC?

Thing is shares have to be up for sale first, so unless club is for sale I don’t see that being possible. However if RL wants to sell then shares will start to be sold. Lerner’s shares yes but it doesn’t stop an interested party trying to tap up smaller shareholders first, pick up a few and go from there.
Is he that rich in comparison to some? I tend to agree more with JPA here in that he, possibly, has taken us as far as he can with his own riches and that anyone coming in would need to be richer still. Whether he is bored is in my opinion debatable and no one is likely to find out the truth of that anytime soon.
RL has all the shares, when he bought up ?% he was obliged to purchase remaining shares in his takeover. So who exactly are the owners of the non existent shares? RL is sole owner.
