Now this would be a major move forward for the club and would free up a significant amount of money for wages for a player, well lets just say is not wanted. For his reported 45K a week we may still have to pay a portion of this say £25K a week but it frees up some money we need to get players in.

i have been told villa are in talks with spurs over hutton & are one of the clubs who have agreed a nominal fee with chelsea over yossi benyoun and have offered him a a deal and are waiting to hear back, hargreaves not even mentioned on AM hitlist. i heard this through one of the scouts at villa who come down to where i manage a lot

Please please please let this be true. As mentioned, even if we are paying towards it and it frees up just a third of wages, that has to be better than having the waster at the club, probably winding up players that aren’t on as much but contribute a lot more.

scott dann still hasnt been snapped up by anyone has he. Coates to Liverpool so they wont buy him, Cahill to Arsenal and maybe samba but can only see wenger signing 1 centre half, same with spurs cahill or samba. that leaves chelsea but why wudnt that deal have been done age ago when it was talked about

Speculation on the young fee, no way will anyone pay all Beye’s wages, no reported interest in Cuellar, never been reported we have a sell on for Cahill and with Collins and Dunne keeping 2 clean sheets and only 1 goal in 3 games, with Clarke and Cuellar as back up can’t see with our limited funds he’ll spend it on Dann.

These were the only words i could find to express how i felt about Habib Beye
Not sure why everyone despises Beye so much. He accepted a very good offer, and then got very little opportunity to prove himself, and even then being played out of position on occasion. I think he is a good attacking fullback who takes a few too many risks at the back, but then he was always like that so it’s not like he conned us. Made a great run against Hereford when he came on that led to a goal, and also gave away possession in his own half. Same old same old! He was just a bit of a last minute panic buy so let’s hope we do better this time round.. Not his fault though.
Yes i agree he is a good attacking fb as proven at Newcastle, however he has been at Villa with 4 different managers and all have frozen him out, this can only be down to attitude and nothing else
You have a point but Luke Young is a better bet as RB so natural for 3 of those 4 managers. MON was the odd one out since he bought him. not sure it’s an attitude thing as he has kept pretty quiet. Just a defensive solidity thing really, and MON preferrred Cuellar to LY so not sure he is a reliable clue to Beye’s attitude. from a club point of view yes sell him or loan him bet let’s do it without slagging the guy off.
