The Mirror reports that we have bid £7m for Scott Parker and are interested in Juan Vargas from Fiorentina.
Other stories claim that Parker would only be released on a £4m loan fee from West Ham. Vargas is rated at around £12m and of course was linked to Liverpool before as a left sided winger, they do not need him now 
However on skysports he ruled himself out of any move.

Im watching alot of the Copa America and im just thinking we could do worse than take a punt on Dos Santos. Dont think he’d cost more than £5 million can play out wide, up front or off the front man. Speaking of that competition. I’d love for us to look at Leonel Moreira. Automatic starter for Costa Rica, automatic starter for his club and a 21 year old Goal Keeper? Something you don’t hear much of. I mean they came 3rd in their group, only conceding 4 goals with teams like Argentina and Colombia in it with some great talented forwards. He could be one brilliant keeper in the future.
Very true he made a couple of blinding saves in there first game against colombia although our scouting network seems to mostly include watching old tapes of MOTD. So much cheap untapped talent on show in the Copa America its untrue just wish we’d take a gamble on a few of the promising youngsters!
Definitely. I mean I love our youngsters, they’re very talented, but a few foreign youngsters from outside England/Ireland/Scotland would be amazing for the academy. Give them some kind of spice to the team.
I would love to see us do well in the U-19 CL, but while we have one of the best academies in the EPL, we can’t match the likes of Ajax, Barcelona, Inter who have players from all around Europe and South America.

Mate relax. If this was O’Neill we wouldn’t have a player until mid-August at best. Faulkner has already said we’re in talks and close to completing a move for a goal keeper (obviously Given) and that they’ve been searching for replacements or they probably wouldn’t have accepted the Downing bid so quickly.
Anyone else seen much of Antoine Griezmann plays for Sociedad in La Liga. Tricky winger with quick feet and takes a good dead ball. Another id love to see us sign or 19 or so. Piatti would have been a good buy to replace Ash as well if he hadnt already been snapped up by Valencia.

How about Alberto Aquillani ? He is very good midfielder and had a good season at Juventus but Liverpool have no room for him. although he is injury prone, I think he can make many good passes for bent and gabby!
PL football is too fast for him thats why he flopped at pool, the pace of Italian football is more suited for him.
So far as I understand, West Ham turned down the Chelsea loan deal because another club (thought to be us) offered 7.5 million for Parker.
So yeah, we might see him on Monday. Or even tomorrow, for that matter. I expect N’Zogbia and Given to join shortly too.
