A few things today have come up.
New Kit
JD sports have put on their website the pre order for the new Away Shirt to be ordered this week.
As you can see this continues the chequered theme from the leaked Home Shirt a few weeks ago and for some reason Randy appears to be stuck on them. I do like the claret shirts with it and we should wear white. At the last year of the Nike contract it looks like the ones from a couple of years ago and the lack of effort by NIKE. It does appear that this week we may get the official release of the shirt and possible new sponsor.

Very good news and the correct decision was taken by Alex McLeish in retain Sid as the first team coach. However reports are saying that Andy Watson, AM’s first team coach at Blues is not likely to join him, we shall see.
Julian Draxler
GarethRDR on VillaTalk (LINK has posted a story from Spaziocalcio.com (LINK) that we have an interest in Schalke’s 17 year old rising star Julian Draxler. even at 17 he made 15 Bundesliga appearances for Schalke which is no mean feat at his age. If we make this a deal then it would be quite a coup for the club to seal this deal. However you wonder with Gary Gardner at the same age whether this could block him ?

D’you know, now I’ve sort of got used to the idea (and let’s face it, we have no choice), I think it might not be that bad.
My reasoning is that it simply can’t be.
McLeish knows he’ll get slaughtered from the off, if he lives up to what we think of him.
I’m willing to give him a few games to prove me wrong, is what I’m saying.
But I’m still struggling to hide my sadness at his appointment though.

Draxler signed a new deal today. Considering the amount of time he spent in the first team last season, surely he will play more if he is that good, rather than being sent out on loan.

anyone else thinking we should be in for gary cahill?? craig gardener no thanks but cahill is one villa youngster i would like to have back. WOuld 15mn do the trick? have to imagine he’s better than who we have now – dunne, cuellar, collins can fight it out to be his partner. Or even better,,,,,,,,,,,,cahill and clarke – dream partnership.

I too, am a fan of NRC.The reason why we leaked so many goals,especially in the last 10 mins in the first half of the season,was the weakness of our midfield,exposing our back four,Notice how results turned round when NRC came back into the side,He is a great ball winner and puts endless pressure on our opponents as well as being a formidable barrier in front of our defence.
A vtal player for us and imo irreplacable.Lets hope AM can persuade him to come back.
Our current defenders are perfectly good enough ,they just need a bit of protection and NRC is the man
PS Dont rate Cahill……….Cueller ,dunne collins as good ,if not better.
I like McGregor From what I ve seen of him….a top keeper.
