Randy’s Plane back into the UK – THE END GAME ?

Information just received.

This is not from any usual source (Thetrees or MacBHX) but someone else.

They say that Randy’s plane has just touched down at Birmingham Airport on arrival from Corsica, passenger details unknown.

So the big question is what was the outcome in Corsica ?

Was Randy even on it ?

If not who is ?

If the usual pattern is observed over this who unique affair I am expected some news at around 5PM tonight or tomorrow. This news will be the definitive news we have been awaiting for as regards AM and possibly the new manager.

With no ITK I am sure that McLeish will NOt be manager, but that is hope maybe ?

EDIT – Same source has said the plane was EMPTY

  1. Walter Smith has a holiday home in Corsica – that’s where AM is currently staying as they’re very close friends

AM will not be joining us although it is indeed a fact that RL is a huge fan and has been taking advice from Sir Alex which is why we were initally interested in McLaren as well

    • Walter Smith the butcher?

    • So Old Redface is the sort of neutral observer, with no conflict of interest whatsoever, from whom they take advice about the next manager?

No wonder all we’ve read are pretty boring names.

  2. Jaymo85 the options we have been looking at are not acceptable. That is the problem

    • What other options are there?? And how do you know the ones the press have mentioned are the only ones. You don’t have access to the list and neither does anyone else. There taking advice from all quarters. I say just let them get there man then we can judge.

      • The general mantioned ‘advice’ from all sorts of sources – you’ve mentioned Ferguson as well, I’d love to know who else they’ve got whispering in their ears; one thing’s for sure, it’s not GT this time around – he’s been bitching all over the place, presumably because they’ve not asked him privately.

  3. I can confirm that RL has met with AM and an announcement is due in the next 48 hours.

  4. Phil Mepham is a prick, another tosser employed by Mr Ellis

  5. Good to see that someone has a sense of humour

  6. Have you ever thought I might be Phil Mepham?

    • First media-piece linking Moyes in a long time; but why does it read as if it had been written by a teenager – or does that guy usually write his op-eds after half a bottle of Scotch?

      • That’s hardly a link. Betting odds are not links.

        • VfT – the link is to a newspaper column – the Daily Mirror.
A bizarre newspaper column, I’ll admit, and I can’t see where the writer obtained the quoted odds, but that’s tabloids for you…

          • Yeha it is dreadful writing, and is more of an ad for the betting site than an article. It is probably actually a handout from the betting site itself. But anything to get away from the McLeish talk. If you’re going to hire him, do it today and get it over with, otherwise I still think It is Mark Hughes, because it is taking a really long time and transfer targets are signing with increasing frequency.

  7. For all those worried villa fans, put your house on it, that Mark Hughes will be the next manager by July the 2nd,just be patient with all the gossip that’s going around. Until Villa say it’s Mcleish i will go with Sparky 100%

  8. Is there actually a protest outside VP tonight? Anyone know what time if so? I have heard 5pm!

  9. Mcleish was in corsica on hoilday when he resigned via email from birmingham this is a FACT , i hope its not Mcliesh but at the moment it looks very likely

  10. Here, this just popped up on someones site in the google realtime feed

    http://www.avillafan.com/is-moyes-our-man/

at the very least we can get wound up about it and forget for one second that there is still a chance McLeish could be manager.

  11. Adrian Durham on Talksport says a good – though not great – source suggests Sparky will be Hiddink’s number 2 at Chelski. Another one off the list?

  12. Will Villa pay £5.4m in comp after just paying MON around the same ???? for a very average manager ???? No chance.

AM is going to be in a court case with blues for months over his resignation.

We haven’t made an Official approach to BCFC. And we won’t make one.

    All unfounded drivel.

IMHO Mark Hughes is a done deal, he can start on the 1st July, pre-season starts on 7th July and transfers are being negotiated already. Lerner wanted him last year but it was too late, he’d joined Fulham.

Let the media and bookmakers have their fun, just don’t be silly enough to buy into it.

  13. Apparently there will be some news via Villa tonight. What a revoltin’ development. How we’re gonna keep hold of our best players with Big Eck in charge I do not know. Expect Villa to become a feeder club for the next few years if he’s in. Crossing everything it’s someone else. UTV!

  14. According to Moxley we are almost certainly getting AM. http://bit.ly/j3ZrOC

That is the news they will probably announce later.

    • He has to give two months notice minimum, under law Blues can put him on gardening leave while the issues of the contract is sorted.

  15. McLeish to Villa is getting a bit old from TalkSport. Especially as they already said we were looking at Walter Smith today. Blues are still awaiting for us to contact them, so obviously we haven’t done that yet so no real announcement can happen. Unless we go out and say we’re not signing him.

    • Talksport ……… Talkshite more like.

      • Haha, couldn’t agree more. As said, Lerner has everything to lose on this compared to us. He wouldn’t be stupid enough to make this kind of signing.

However, if he does somehow come I’ll find a way to back him eventually.

  16. Well isn’t it about time for an announcement or intentionally leaked news from the club?

  17. New Villa manager WILL be McLeish. Disgusted.

  18. I don’t get all the negativity on here. In fact, it’s more negative than Max Speilman wearing fur rubbing himself off with a balloon with a cathode up his arse.

Ally Mac will lead us into Europe, just like he lead Blues! I for one can’t wait to rejoice in his chirpy monotone dialogue and ponder if his wonderful hairline is the result of growth hormones or Toppik (as worn by such other celebrities as Johnny Vaughan and Ryan Giggs).
