It is inevitable I guess a lot of discussion centres around possible replacements for the stricken Houllier.
However at this stage I find that a little distasteful as it is not clear at all what the problem is with Houllier except it is ‘serious’.
So the SUN reports this.
It is good to see within the report that Gary McAllister is saying Houllier’s wife is calm with what has happened.
But this piece from the sun is bound to cause a debate on the rights and wrongs of doing this.
Villa are not contemplating bringing in a replacement and will allow the 63-year-old as much time as he needs to recover.
I have my own thoughts on this but NOT at this time without knowing the full extent of the illness to Gerard.
Aston Villa News 24/7
No we are not, there is stil a chance and look at our last 2 games. Do you really have any confidence of getting more than 3 points with slaphead calling the shots.
Even if we stay up, since when has staying up been an achievement for Villa?
I wont cheer up until houllier is no longer the gaffer
Juan pablo the JOKE is back you do know it is virtually impossible for us to go down you FREAK theres more chance in us coming 7th than going down
Its a joke we are even in this position and its a joke houllier is still villa boss. Speaking of jokes what sort of a name is jordan?
I cant wait for next season im very optimistic if Mr Houllier stays in charge. Think of all the average French players he will sign and maybe even Michael Owen. We might even get in top ten and draw with Blues! All hail Houllier and thank you Randy for this great gift.
Has he signed any average French players so far? No, he has signed quality players. So to knock him on something he does well is just sheer ignorance. Would you rather the overpaid MON flops we have had for the past few seasons?
Why are people complaining where we are? O’Neill finished 11th his first season and had a full season, with the transfer window and pre-season, a squad that didn’t nearly have the injury crisis and didn’t have health problems…
People were crying about relegation and now people are crying that now that we’re safe, we should be even higher… I’m sure if we had Houllier we probably would have beaten Stoke. We’re 6 points off from 7th with 4 games to go… Stop bitching already, we know Villa have problems, but they’re not going to be fixed without the summer and without Houllier now.
Don’t you just love it when people leave comments under a different name to back up themselves
I agree
Me too
ha ha ha ha
Every anti houllier comment must be me! I forgot how popular he is sorry.
Pricks
You’re anti everything not just houllier
BELL END!!!
Andrew, martin o neill had about two days of preseason and brought only petrov in to the squad aswell as sutton who was out of contract and the defender from celtic who was also crap! The squad was very very very limited due to that Twat o leary and Ellis not spending.
Saying that I love Houllier he is a well spoken intelligent genius and I am backing him 100 percent. He will get us playing mint football next season mark my words…… Get well soon king Houllier!!!

villa fan in new zealand been here 15months worried about whats going on back home, looks like gerrard wont be there next season , does anyone think gus poyet or paul lambert would do any good . i think we should at least think about at least gus poyet with his knowledge of the premiership, and paul lambert was no crap player or manager he has served his time in the lower leagues ,experience in europe with no mickey mouse teams, maybe we should do an everton all them years ago when they appointed moyes from the lower leagues, maybe we should go down that road,if hughes comes i think we are going backwards with him up the villa
Is it possible for people on here to not use personal insults at each other it really is pointless.
With the teams left that have to play each other it is not possible for us to be relegated as it would mean that the teams who have to play each other would need a win(ithink).
Interesting article by NRC http://www.birminghammail.net/birmingham-sport/aston-villa-fc/aston-villa-news/2011/04/26/aston-villa-nigel-reo-coker-s-pledge-to-gerard-houllier-97319-28582729/
Sorry i meant both teams would need to win the same game which is not possible at all
Agbonlahor wants to become Captain at Villa eventually.

Best part though.
“But that’s not really on my mind at the moment but maybe one day in the future because Villa means everything to me really.
