Not sure I agree with the premise the club should do this. I firmly believe any anthem should be started from the terraces and by far HolteEnders in the Sky is sung far more.
However there is a problem with some of it’s lyrics, which means the club could never endorse it officially !!

You might want to move this but anyway Villa are planning to release THE BELLS ARE RINGING as the official anthem . They have had demo tracks of it done and sounds as though now we might finally get the recognition it deserves .
There are a lot of verses to this song and it’s going to need the old uns involved to make sure it’s properly covered .
They are in talks with people to get it out there might just help with the match day atmosphere and get people ralling around .
Personally think it’s over due but great idea .
So whilst I think this sounds a good idea I have reservations on whether it would take off in the way the club and some fans expect.
But better than the silence we currently have as the team comes out.The bells are ringing for the claret and blue,

It isn’t the club releasing the song, it is the club helping us the fans get the song back. Taken a fair while to get this done but the momentum is there now. I have helped push and push for it now because we are in trouble and as per my 12th man thing (http://www.astonvilla.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=7508160 ) it is more important that us fans show fight now and hope (and pray!) the players respond.
It does look that April 4 will be the time to set aside if you want to come down and help sing the chorus. Not 100% confirmed yet so we were going to hold off any articles etc but there is always someone that just has to get in there first!
The idea is the players run out to this. THEN with luck the crowd pick up on it, if not we do at least have a unique song to have the players run out to. If it ends up as we envisage, it will be very cool I think but the main thing is the fans then taking it back as ours and singing it how we want (ie not to get hung up on whether you like the version or not)
Then we just need the team to win!
We want houllier out would be a better choice for a club anthem. Or we are going down.
Get over the fact he’s stopping as manager, get behind the team and do your bit to make sure we ensure our club is playing Premier League football next season.

Doing nothing will not help us survive in the prem. Forget Headhard Foulier and get behind the team in a positve way,sing shout,cheer encourage and be positive.Players and managers come and go,the club our club remains.
Once a Villian always a Villian.We all want something better but for now just get behind the team,they badly need us,and we can have the post mortem in the close season.
