Dunne verbally abused Delph and players told ‘bring your lawyers’

It was inevitable that more would come out from the ‘incident’ last week and The Mirror comes up with one.

Now I know some will say this is all BS and Villa hating journo’s all stirring it up. Well this was written by James Nursery who in the past has had stories that were correct and clearly fed from sources within the club.

LINK

the difference in this story and what is new, is the claim that Dunne abused Fabian Delph and was so drunk he did not even remember even doing it.

Of course this has been fed to Nursery from someone within the club whose motivations are unclear at this stage but it does not help at all.

EDIT 00:00 – Now the Sun are in on it claming letters have been sent to players saying they have to go to a meeting with lawyers

LINK

This is not just about Dunne and Collins, claims they are amongst a group of players who have been summoned.

The Daily Mail’s Charles Sale (who got FXPRO quitting spot on) is reporting on what happened with cheif scout Jeff Vetere

Even by Aston Villa’s standards of strange goings-on and quick exits behind the scenes, Jeff Vetere’s four-month stay as chief scout before his departure to Charlton was a short one.
The club version is that Vetere hasn’t impressed in the brief time since his appointment by manager Gerard Houllier, who liked the fact they conversed in French at the interview.
However Vetere, who never signed a contract, was unhappy with the Villa Park set-up from the start and it is claimed Houllier and chief executive Paul Faulkner chose not to return his calls when he told them he was leaving.

  1. Dunne has been drinking since his missus left him in the summer which coincides with his dip, no, free fall in form.

    Dunne out Cahill in please.

    I’m still backin houllier!

    • Good for you Tommo!

can you imagine a full VP with everyone backing Houllier? The players will think: ‘hang on a minute, we better pull our thumbs out our arses because the fans are behind this guy.’

That’s why us Houllier backers are trying to stop the negativity and the blaming of Houllier for everything.

The club needs to unite; that means everyone pulling in the same direction; that means get behind the man in charge!

It’s not about liking him as a person. Just get behind him because he’s our club’s manager. Many of us think he’s a top manager, but even if you don’t, GET BEHIND HIM!

  2. If these allegations are true then clearly the players are bang out of order.

Not for being pissed off with Houllier but for choosing to vent their frustrations/grievances whilst allegedly half pissed and in a hotel bar.

I have no problem with them being pissed off though and making their feelings known. Someone needed to given what’s been going on. They just chose the wrong place and the wrong time given they’d had a drink. That was indeed bang out of order. I’d also have much preferred they’d had a go at Houllier to his face.

Bottom line is it is no coincidence that the crap the club has gone through over the last 6 months and all the negative publicity has come under Houlliers watch.

Its becoming increasingly obvious who the rat is that keeps running to the press exposing these tales and that it is not one of the players but someone higher up who has previous for it.

    • FFS can’t you read between the lines? It could have been the ghost of Clough or Shankly taking over MON: we’d still be in the shit. The point is MON fucked it up than bailed out, which fucked it up even more. Now Houllier’s trying to fix it but a lot of the pricks on board don’t want to bail. Even if the players don’t like Houllier, they play for ASTON VILLA first and foremost, and that should be enough.

If I was Houllier, I’d tell us all where to stick it; the guy CANNOT win. Even if in 2 years time, he presented you the Champions League trophy on Kelly Brook’s tits (I realise this is unlikely), you’d still find something to blame him for.

      Grow up and wake up.

  3. there is no doubt to me that the person who originally leaked the story was different to the one who leaked to the press last night

so the question is all over the motivations for doing so just a week ago away from a vital game

    • Ian, you probably know better than me, but I suspect the CEO is leaking to the press, or at least making sure stuff gets out.
All said, Dunne has played up too often, he needs to be shown the door, I’m really anti this whole episode, but look at some of the antics at Chelsea and it puts it into perspective, I refer to Terry more than Cole here.
I back GH, the young lad’s must do too, afterall, the contracts are being signed.
I can’t deny it’ been an awful season, but christ I’m annoyed with MON, a total disgrace.

      • I think Houllier does have something about him that kids love, there is no question of that, However in our situation he had to work with the seniors and when it became apparent in Nov the season was going to be a struggle he should have tried to blend them in.

however that is the past, you cn not kick Collins out, we bloody need CD’s !!

        and Dunne is ‘injured’ anyway

the sun indicates a group of players which is far greater than those two

that is the problem IF THEY are RIGHT

        • they can borrow my old Stereophonics CD’s: sick of the sight of them!

        • Fair point, it’s just a shame that the London press seem to be all over us more than I can ever remember, they seem to have us singled out which I hate, and they have become “a dog with a bone”.
Big decisions loom this summer, on that I agree with you 100%.

          • stop getting paranoid over the press, some people from within the club are leaking this stuff to them, it is not made up, if you was a journo would you refuse to print it ?

          • Sasa c, maybe the reason the London press are all over us is because we keep hanging our naked arses out while screaming: ‘VICTIM HERE! VICTIM HERE!’

Like I said earlier, if we UNITE, instead of sabbotaging our own club, then they’ll find a real bullshit club to be ‘all over,’ not ASTON VILLA. Keep saying it: ASTON VILLA. Fuck me, that sounds good. Maybe it’s time this great club had great SUPPORTERS. It does have many, but too many don’t SUPPORT.

            Villa till I die

  4. that should be CDs, NOT CD’s btw

  5. Im quite looking forward to seeing King Carlos and Clarke paired together Saturday. Hopefully keep a clean sheet and Benty nets three up the other end!

    Up the Villa!

  6. Wounded! Them balls are going be flying into the box like Bolton, I wonder if Luke Young can wear heels?

    Fuck it, we’ll still win………..3-1

  7. Interesting that some continually blame the bloke that left 8 months ago and can do fuck all about what’s happening now rather than the bloke who has been here six months, who inherited a very good squad of players and has spent the best part of 30 mill since he arrived yet continues to do poorly.

You know what though it really doesn’t matter who the fans blame, its irrelevant, however its a huge problem when the current manager will take no responsibility for what is happening choosing to blame the players or his predecessor. Its about time he grew a pair of balls and accepted responsibility. Its what he is being paid a kings ransom to do and if he did he might find those that matter, the players, would have far more respect for him and he’d get far more out of them.

The guy is an embarrassment. Its unbelievable that its mid March and relegation is still very much a possibility. His record shows that he is down there with Billy McNeill and if we were to pay the ultimate for his fuck ups this season then he would go down as the worst managers in the clubs history as unlike McNeill who inherited a club that had been on the wane for years he came to one that had just had its best season in years.

    • you are so short sighted you should go to fucking Specsavers. Also you may want your memory checking as it seems to function like that of a goldfish. Consider:

What’s his record since he spent £30 mil? I think you’ll find it’s easily Europe challenging form.

Where was MON in his first season in charge at this stage? (with a pre-season, summer transfer window and fan’s backing – which GH didn’t have) I think you’ll find it was VERY similar to now: difficult winter when we couldn’t buy a result but picked up when he signed ash, carew and bardsley on loan. We finished tenth by the way, which is not impossible this year.

How many cups has MON won? (not including horseshit SPL) I think you’ll find it’s less than Houllier.

How big are Houllier’s balls? Well considering the game nearly cost him his life but he’s come to manage a club where a lot of the fans are thick as pigshit as well as ungrateful, spiteful, inhospitable twats, when he could have had a cushy retirement, I’d say they’re probably at least as big as MONs and bigger than your and mine.

Who is an embarassment? I think you’ll find it’s knobs like Dunne, JC, Warnock etc who don’t know what the word professional means. These fucking mutineers should be jeered to buggery by the fans but thankfully, GH has fucked them off. If the story about Dunne is true, I hope GH shows him who’s boss too. It’s about respect you see. GH, in my opinion, deserves and commands it from his experience and record. If these dicks think they are bigger than the club and more powerful than the gaff, they can go fuck themselves. That includes webcam.

If, God forbid, GH takes us down, I’ll shut my pie-hole. If we stay up, shut yours and back him to the hilt in the summer and next season.

In the meantime, may I suggest we all get behind the team and the boss and intimidate the shit out of the Wolves players on Saturday with a proper, partizan, unflinchingly biased support of our great club.

      Thank you and goodnight.

      • Sums the rational point of view perfectly.

Mark on the other hand sums up the irrational point of view.

These are the two camps we Villa supporters find ourselves in. One rational the other irrational. Black and white.

        • “It seems black and white to me.” Not very happy with that original phrasing there.

        • no that’s your view pretending all is fine and Houllier bears no responsbility, you could be as irrational as anyone with that point of view

          • Ian, if you moved in to a new house tomorrow and the previous owner had left several large steaming turds in the shitter that won’t flush, would you take responsibility if your missus blamed you for it?

  8. [...] Dunne verbally abused Delph and players told ‘bring your lawyers’ It was inevitable that more would come out from the ‘incident’ last week and The Mirror comes up with one. [...] [...]

  9. I don’t get how people can be so short-sighted as Mark

  10. So the answer to anyone who has opposing views to yours Mark, is verbal abuse?

I refer to my original post, sack the players involved, sod MON he’s in the past who cares about him.

Houllier is in charge, he has disrespected our supporters at times, eg Liverpool, and also the players, such as ignoring Walker and Bannan as they left the pitch after the Man City mess, and going up to Vieira, putting his arm around him and having a laugh, all caught on camera, you would have thought we had won, instead of being destroyed.

Add that to the stubbornness of his tactics, and freezing when we are losing. This is not the manager I want to see at VP, he’s trying to remake a name for himself, and flirting with relegation for his vanity, the man is living in the past, tactics have moved on since he was at Liverpool, sorry that’s how I see it, if you want to abuse me because of my views, so be it, I love my club, loved it all my life, I want to see success, managers come and go, Villa is for life UTV

    • ‘managers come and go’ that’s why we’ll never have success. How many managers have come and gone at Man U?

      • His tactics seem quite good, but maybe that is just because I was watching a MON team for the previous four years and I’ve been numbed as to what football could actually entail

  11. Dunne is a prick… and should be sacked, immediately, and we should sue him for any transfer fee and all this years wages.

In my opinion, I think he has thrown his toys as Houllier is driving good behaviours into the squad, and O’Neill let them do what they wanted, re fitness, training, etc… Dunne just doesn’t like discipline.
