If you, and the others you reference, are correct about Bent’s name being known on Friday evening then the Villa management appear to be lying as they said the first approach for Bent was AFTER the Sunderland v Newcastle game which was on Sunday.
No that’s incorrect a bid was made Friday and refused. Bent heard about it Sunday and said he wants to go soon after.
it was known on Friday, bloody obvious, I do not know if MM and Woodhall had the name then but it was clear once I saw the name on the sunderland thread and one other bit of info it was Bent and hence I changed my post that night.
MM is not denying he did not know on Friday so by then we had made an approach but not the bid, all schematics ..
