SPECULATION : Charlie Adam, Bent deal DONE and LB inbound

Pheww ….. thank god I had the day off work, loads of stuff eh ?

Ok been told by three totally separate sources that these three things

Charlie Adam is definitely a done deal as well and will be at the club by the end of the week

STOP worrying about Bent, totally DONE deal, at Moor Hall just awaiting the call to go to Bodymoor, should happen soon

A LB also more than likely inbound as well, no names given but the Wigan lad very likely

    Sunderland confirmed the move in a brief statement which said: “The club can confirm that it received a written transfer request from Darren Bent following Sunday’s Wear-Tyne derby match.”

    However, Press Association Sport understands that the Black Cats have not yet accepted Bent’s request, nor a bid of £18million from Aston Villa which reportedly could rise to as much as £24million. Furthermore, it is understood that they would not even consider doing business for a man who cost them an initial £10million in August 2009 unless any offer significantly exceeded the £20million mark.

    Lets just face the facts, the 4th most successfull club in the English game. Bents head was turned with our offer, never mind the money the boy wants recognition and his England place back and he cant get that at Sunderland. Jog on Mikey you will always be a feeder club to us just like we will to Manure. get over it

      SAFC got BENT back in the England fold with his goals for US. The boy wants recognition and his England place back and he cant get that at Sunderland – WRONG – HE GOT CALLED UP BY PLAYING AND SCORING FOR US.

      What crap course his head was turned by the money what player wouldnt be if you double his wage. As Bruce said every player has his price. Just look at Ronaldo at Man Utd, so Bent like anyone has a price. Loyalty doesnt exist in the game we all know that.
      I just hope he doesnt do the same with you guys if a bigger club comes in.

        Sorry mate but you’ve got to face facts. Darren Bent is now a Villa player. Look on the bright side though, you’re getting Palvyuchenko in.

        Mikey Mikey Mikey…..this looks like sour grapes. We all have our stars stolen by bigger clubs, look at Barry, Milner and maybe Young in the summer.

        Just take it on the chin and move on. The fact is Villa are a bigger club in every way that Sunderland and with the signings we are making we will be back to challanging for cups and champions league spots next season and Bent knows that.

        Take the money and buy a couple of players to improve your team in other areas.

    Darren Bent is scheduled to be unveiled later this afternoon at Villa Park. Matt Kendrick has spoke to Villa and the finishing touches are being put to the deal. Bent is in and we can go see him at Villa Park later today! Quality!

    Up the villa! There’s only one Randy Lerner!

    Players have done it to us also remember, Yorke, Barry, Milner etc and will happen again no doubt, but no one is bigger than club. If it happens make a profit if poss and move on….but for now ….Welcome a great club with a great history and bright future Darren and I hope you do the shirt proud and put your name amongst some of the great strikers we have had at VP. ( and PS a couple of goals gainst the sheiks of Manchester sat wouldn’t go a miss)

    As a Spurs fan I can whole heartedly say that if Sunderland do manage to get Super Pav from Tottenham as Bents replacement, they’ll be getting a far and away much more gifted footballer. Villa have brought a one trick pony. With Gyan in Sunderlands ranks they can afford to take the obscene amount of money on offer from Villa and come out of this deal much better off. COYS
    Thanks to the Villa for the extra £4m that’ll be due to Spurs for paying such a high price for Bent!!

    Another YID who has never paid over the odds for a player, we have only spent 1.5m more than you spent seem to remember and sold him for 10m great business. The ad ons to 23m will be difficult to achieve anyway. One trick pony maybe but you made sure you put clauses in his contract prove that someone at your club knew that he was a good player and his stock would rise. Top scorer I believe as well from the bench, how many has Palachuckio scored? How much did you pay? How much for Crouch? and his goal scoring record is? Ha Ha jog on YIDO. The Villa are on the move again, and I for one cant wait now for Bents return to Shit Hart Lane next season….keep looking over your shoulder……UTV
