SPECULATION: Adam, Richards, Emir Spahic, Samba, Momo Sissoko, Pires can go, Piquionne

OK some of the Sunday’s are coming in, just transfer speculation at the moment but bloody busy !!

First is the NOTW linking us with Micah Richards and is departure is only being held up by a 20% sell on fee to Oldham his former club. Everton (the club with no money) and Spurs linked as well.

Then they have the usual link to Sissoko.

ASTON VILLA are trying to persuade Juventus to let them take former Liverpool ace Momo Sissoko on loan.

Villa are reluctant to meet the £8million asking price but the Italian giants would prefer a permanent deal.

Sissoko’s wages are also proving a stumbling block.

To match the 25-year-old Mali midfielder’s net pay in Italy, Villa would have to pay him the best part of £100,000 per week.

Also they carry a story with quotes that Pires can go, big deal !!

It’s not going to change the running of the team. If he’s not very happy he can go.

“He looks happy in training and when he’s taking part. He’s 37 and we’re happy to have him. He brings something.

“He is aware that he cannot play the full 90 minutes. He admitted that the pace has gone up. The physical side is different but at the same time he can say what he wants. I’m just making a team to win the games.”

Yesterday a link with Emir Saphic in the Daily Mail, the NOTW carry the following quotes from his agent.

The Montpellier centre-half’s agent, Bekim Dino Pasalic, said: “Houllier wants Spahic at Villa. But after he lost against Sunderland, his job is not secure any more.

“If his team wins the derby, he will stay as Villa manager and be given a free hand to buy anyone he wants. If he loses, he will be sacked and the Spahic transfer will be off.

“I know the Montpellier president said Spahic can’t leave. But I spoke to him and he was realistic.

“If Villa’s offer is good enough, he will let Spahic go to England. Now we are waiting for the Birmingham result to see what to do next.”

The Mirror claims £10m is the price Blackburn want for Samba which may include Warnock.

The Mirror also claim that Adam has said he wants to leave and the Chairman has said he will not ask too high a price, could be why Holloway is fuming.

And then link us with Piquionne who missed the West Ham game today due to a ‘tooth ache’, oh dear, not him !!

Piquionne said: “I don’t see why I should not join Houllier at Aston Villa. He is a highly-regarded coach in France and England.

“I read that there have been offers for me, but there is nothing very definite yet.

  1. What’s Pires going to teach Villa’s young players – to speak French. He’s acknowledged his English is poor. Houllier is out of touch if he thinks a 37-year old, who’s legs have gone, can contribute anything in the current situation. He’s simply a distraction we don’t need.

I wonder where that came from. Looks like Houllier may be on the edge of losing his job after each game if that is true. Shame it was a draw so we don’t know either way. I thought the board may hold back until the end of January to see how results go before they let Houllier spend on every player he wants. Maybe they are waiting until after the Wigan game as if we lose that he could be sacked and then a new man has a little bit of time to bring in some players he wants.
