JulieB on Villatalk has just posted
FWIW I’ve had a call from someone who reckons RL is going all out for Moyes & it’s looking increasingly
on!This source told us that Milner was bang on to leave before last season finished & that we would probably get Ireland
off City. He also told us that their were ructions between MON & the club & that he might walk & that was months before it happened
(which TBH I didn’t credit!)….but I have to say he’s normally pretty reliable. It comes via a player of another club who’s very good friends with one or two of Villa players.
YES it is a RUMOUR and ITK, please treat it like that as I personally think we have no chance of Moyes, however why not hope ?
However according to villa_insider on Twitter we have employed a bunch of headhunters called Trezona, this information I have not seen anywhere else, could it be true.
They are the first specialist sports executive ‘head hunters’ in the UK but can not find any real track record for them in the quality they have got for companies. However if true and seems far too random and obscure not to be, then this does show a certain level of commitment from Villa into finding a real top class manager.
EDIT 21:20
Found this on the Liverpool Echo website where they say
Despite Moyes publicly ruling himself out of a move to the Midlands earlier this month, the bookies’ move led to further rumours, which the Echo understands have left Goodison officials mystified.
No real quotes and a loose denial I would say
Aston Villa News 24/7
both i know moyes wont come because nuthin seems to be going right this summer btw does this site have a twitter?
yep mate

Trezona could be true as they were used by Randy when he employed Paul Faulkner
Hoping for Moyes tbh
UTV
whats trazona? it sound like a spell out of harry potter.
cheers ian ill be in touch with some villa news
I DONT KNOW WHY THEY ARE BEATING ABOUT THE BUSH
BECUSE I THINK WE ALL KNOW THE OUTCOME ,
NOW THEY COME OUT WITH ALL THIS B/S ABOUT SPENDING ON A NEW MANAGER THEY MUST THINK WE ARE ALL HAS THINK AS SHIT,
ITS JUST A PITY THEY DIDNT PUT THE MONEY IN TO A GOOD CAUSE LIKE IMPROVING THE BLOODY TEAM,
WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME WE BROUGHT A PLAYER IN
DONT SAY IRELAND BECUSE HE WAS JUST A SWEETNER FOR THE MILNER DEAL IF THEY REALLY WANTED TO IMPROVE THE TEAM THEY COULD OF TOOK 3 PLAYERS OFF CITY
we brought about six players this time last year for about £35 – £40million. The only time we could of got more was Jan when no one of any Ilk is for sale. This window is just been messed up by MON no one else. villa have done their best in each window so stop moaning, we ain’t man city!!!!
I still don’t expect Moyes. But it’s odd that neither Everton nor Moyes issued a denial today. I expect that they were preoccupied with the transfer window.
Three weeks ago, he said he was staying at Everton, why should he have to come out and reply to every stupid rumor?
true but back then Moyes was barely linked, I found it strange he denied something few of us thought about
YOU MUST A BLOODY GOOD SENSE OF HUMOUR TEXAS
WHAT TRANSFER WINDOW , LETS ALL WAIT FOR THE JAN ONE AND GET THE ITS NOT A BUYING WINDOW ITS A SELLING ONE AND THEN BE LINKED WITH 52 PLAYERS AND BUY ONE THAT WE DONT NEED OR ONE NOBODY WANTS
Kiddervilla:
I was talking about Moyes and Everton. Slow your roll with the all caps, by the way.
Probably wrong but everything points to KMac getting the job, possibly on a one year contract with a technical director of football to work alongside him. Now he’s thrown in his hat it makes sense I suppose, although still represents a big gamble. And if he’s not a success we’ll be in a good position to appoint a grade A manager this time next year. A year of stability lies ahead I think, nothing more, nothing less. The way MON has ruined this season is a f***in disgrace!
I personally don’t see the the Moyes rumour taking off, I think we have more chance with Mark Hughes, and that’s a slim chance!
Alan pardew just going for talks now.
There’s a reason Mr Pardew was the manager of Sounthampton that’s because he’s not good enough for the premier league, and if they had of wanted him they could have had him ages ago there’s not many league one clubs who would not let there manager leave to work in the premiership. So i think i’ll take that as bollocks.
apparently Lerner flew form Corsica yesterday and Houllier has links there
PONGOGIDMAN if KM gets the job Villa are in for a tough season struggling to stay in the prem.
I certainly can not see a season of stability.
PLEASE MR LERNER DO NOT GIVE IT TO KM LET HIM REMAIN A COACH.
TED – I think you’re right, it will be a tough season with KevMac at the helm. But I’ve got enough faith in KM and the players to secure us a stable mid-table finish. Anything else would be a bonus!
Well, well, well
I’ve come on severals time about an ITK on 606 who said Moyes was identified as the no.1 candidate a week or two back.
He works within a media operation but in a speculative sense. However he is privvy to lots of football talk.
Moyes of course denied links to Villa initially, however there after Villa have contacted Everton, Moyes has expressed an interested in speaking to Lerner about his plans for Villa.
Thats not to say Moyes would definately come, but their is a feeling that Moyes and Kenwright’s working raletionship has soured in the last couple of years, with Moyes feeling he isn’t being backed as he should be. Kenwright also can see an opertunity to bag himself another top notch manager in Martin O’Neill should Moyes leave, so Moyes will be speaking to Mr Lerner very soon.
If Moyes decides its not for him then he will deny any interest and both parties can walk away with reputations in tact….
Compensation wil be paid at £2m per season remaining on his 5 year contract…. which works out at around £6m.
It’s all very interesting… If Lerner said to Moyes that he would provide the same level of funding as he did to MoN for his first 3 years on the understanding the Wage Budget would not exceed 65% of Revenue would Moyes be interested?
£20-25m a season + Any Transfer Revenue to Spent for 3 years….
Imagine what Moyes could and would do…
Theres a chance, I’d wouldn’t call it 50/50, more 70/30 he’ll stay at Everton, but the longer we go without a denial from Moyes… the better the chance he’ll come….
No news is good news….
The general has ruled out anyone currently employed with a club:
http://www.astonvilla.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=7505602
he was speaking as a ‘fan’
IF it is the case Randy feels that it is a utter disgrace we have not got a manager by now
