JulieB on Villatalk has just posted
FWIW I’ve had a call from someone who reckons RL is going all out for Moyes & it’s looking increasingly
on!This source told us that Milner was bang on to leave before last season finished & that we would probably get Ireland
off City. He also told us that their were ructions between MON & the club & that he might walk & that was months before it happened
(which TBH I didn’t credit!)….but I have to say he’s normally pretty reliable. It comes via a player of another club who’s very good friends with one or two of Villa players.
YES it is a RUMOUR and ITK, please treat it like that as I personally think we have no chance of Moyes, however why not hope ?
However according to villa_insider on Twitter we have employed a bunch of headhunters called Trezona, this information I have not seen anywhere else, could it be true.
They are the first specialist sports executive ‘head hunters’ in the UK but can not find any real track record for them in the quality they have got for companies. However if true and seems far too random and obscure not to be, then this does show a certain level of commitment from Villa into finding a real top class manager.
EDIT 21:20
Found this on the Liverpool Echo website where they say
Despite Moyes publicly ruling himself out of a move to the Midlands earlier this month, the bookies’ move led to further rumours, which the Echo understands have left Goodison officials mystified.
No real quotes and a loose denial I would say
Aston Villa News 24/7
i will be hoping for moyes, but i doubt we will get him.
on the mirror website they say koeman wants to be our new manager…
Koeman stuff is old mate, lazy by the mirror, no surprise there !!
We should be going all out for Moyes, It would be a fantastic coup. I don’t want to see a ‘soft’ manager come in, young players need direction, it only makes them better, just look at what Sir Alex and the hairdryer have pulled off at United.
Pay the money, whatever it takes, maybe i’m wrong and no offence to Everton but we are a bigger club, with bigger ambitions (I would like to think) Time to show your hand Randy, pull this off and we will know what your really aiming for.
It’ll be Macdonald. We can dream about the likes of Moyes, but everything the club do at the moment screams ‘half arsed’
I’d prefer mark Hughes to be honest, moyes is good but doubt he’ll come from everton, besides moyes will hang on to succeed fergie at united. Jst all I hope is this ends soon an we get a decent manager.
I”l bet you missed this one Ian.
After our discussion last night, McCleish has miraculously been linked with Villa.
£520, come to daddy, haha

As for that ITK, it’s interesting that the member has been at VT for years.
Hardly the sort to play pranks, you’d have thought.
moyes will struggle to meet the clubs demands like o’neil. the style of football from both moyes and o’neil are very simlar i struggle to see being european contenders with moyes in management. continental managerial football seems to be the direction in which we should opt for fresh and new style to villa may increase are chances this season for europa league footballand to finish 6th place or to be a contender for fourth. Moyes is not the manager we should realy be looking for.
Personally don’t see McLeish coming in. He’s made some very good signings for Birmingham, so he’ll obviously see it as a push to get above us this season.
Koeman interview on Five Live tonight about Villa position. This guy is desperate, and like I said about Bob Bradley, applying for the job through the media is not going to endear you to an intensely private man like RL.
I did not miss that Badger, the source !!!
as fir Julie, a respected poster like Gazton and she does not some footballers up in Carlise
All this gossip an bullshit is tiring now. I’m confident that whoever the villa get as manager will do us good, I’ll still be the same loyal fan I always have been regardless of who we get. I’m sure RL knows what he’s doing, an I’m sure our players will still be the same an push us to glory! Up the villa.

So, according to this genius site, 16m from the Milner deal is going to get us a manager..
to be fair that was reported on a national paper site
all tribal does is quote off other news sources like papers. it makes me laugh when people slag it off but then quote the same story cos its on the guardian website
iam do you fink we have a hope in hell for moyes i for one know who ever is in charge will be not suprised if rl cant get who he goes for and gets someone like koeman
we always have a chance if the offer is right
In reply to Steffan driscoll, Dr Joe ! but pheraps you are to young to know.
I saw that Echo thing this morning.
Probably true, but local papers can’t always be trusted.
I mean, look at the Mail
You know, the more I think about it, the more I reckon it’s going to be KM on a one year contract.
Not through choice, purely because there’s no-one available of sufficient quality.
No doubt some sort of agreement will be made with a decent manager for next season.
Purely my opinion, I feel it in my water
If it was KM, then just appoint him
find that theory strange in what has gone on
unless it is all a cover, why announce it is today that KM has applied, why not Sunday ?
why today after all the Moyes stuff yesterday ?
trying to put people off ?
but ian will you not be a little annoyed and disapointed
at getting KM ??
or not getting Moyes
I doubt either will happen
