James, hope you have trouble sleeping tonight but appears you are going

EDIT

After posting the below checked around and found the following on Bluemoon

watching the villa game now and hes spraying passes left right and centre short and long with ease, whilst having an engine to match. really does look good albeit against a poor WH sife
have several villa friends with my dad being from birmingham and today after the game miner alledgedly said goodbye and thanks to all his team mates properlly, he will be going to the training ground tomorrow for a rub down and stretch etc but he will not train with them again afteer todays game. apparently many of the players were overwhelmed especially ashley young unsuprisingly.
looks like its a done deal and today was just a token gesture

MEN reporting that Mancini hopes to sign Milner “tomorrow”. Where have we heard that before.

=========================================================================

James Milner would have seen today, once we get a permanent manager that there is a strong base of good players and excellent kids to build on. He would have seen how much as fans we appreciate we and how we want him to stay, he would have seen the respect from his fellow players.

Therefore he has to ask himself what is in it for at Man City

Money, yes

trophies, possible

bench time, definitely.

their team today was

25 Hart
02 Richards
04 Kompany
13 Kolarov (Zabaleta 46)
28 Kolo Toure
08 Wright-Phillips (A Johnson 67)
18 Barry
21 Silva
34 De Jong
42 Yaya Toure
32 Tevez (Adebayor 83)

with Lescott, Viera and Jo on the ech and Ireland and Bellamy and 13 others not even in the 25

What happens if Mancini gets sacked soon as he could be if they lose to Liverpool or what happens if they get CL football and further players ?

Does he want to be treated like Bellamy, where would he fit in, in this team. possibly in place of Barry and there should be an immediate lesson for him.

I hope tonight he has a bloody awful night, watches Man City struggle today and then wonders if he is doing the right thing ?

If that is his last game in C&B at Villa Park, he may regret it especially if we get a top class manager
What is your motivation for moving ?

Maybe MON leaving removes one of them ?

  1. “us at around $650m”

    Erm, you’re joking mate, yes?

$65M more like and the Browns are worth a lot more (god know’s why).

  2. I said Browns and us

Browns is around $500m and Villa around $150m

  3. http://www.forbes.com/lists/2008/10/billionaires08_Randolph-Lerner_Z9UN.html

An admittedly weak link, I can’t find a better one straightaway, but it suggests Lerner’s worth to be about £1billion (2$ to the £ then).

Before the caning of recent times.

Most of it and his family’s money would be tied up in investments I guess.

Whatever, I’d expect a couple of small signings at best.

  4. “Andrew, I am a tribal support and a fool, I expect loyality from players !!”

We all want loyalty, but the players are human. They want to succeed in the highest order in their careers, and Milner is good enough to succeed at the highest point, CL and Premier League trophies. He is good enough and maybe he sees City as a better way to get there then Villa, which could be true.

  5. I’m still wondering why no one has looked at Scharner yet. He’s quality, can play Petrov’s spot and play in defense. Just because he didn’t play for Wigan doesn’t mean he’s not good enough, look at Wigan last season and this, Martinez isn’t a good enough manager and doesn’t know what he’s doing.

  6. Let him go. He looked like a dead man walking after the goal. We have a good enough team without him, and Ireland will do fine.

  7. We don’t though. Ireland and Milner are nothing alike, and if Ireland comes in, where does this leave Young (who’s playing Ireland’s position) and where does that leave then Albrighton who was absolutely amazing this game? Milner was helping Petrov so much by tracking back and in turn Petrov was so much more comfortable and able to push forward as well as help Dunne and Clark. Ireland doesn’t do anything Milner has done for us, he’ll do exactly what Young did for us this game and then Young has to be moved and then a winger dropped and then Reo-Coker/Sidwell have to come in, and neither of them can fill Milner’s boots at all. (I still rate Reo-Coker) but Milner’s pinpoint passing and shooting from long range is so much better than Reo-Coker’s.

  8. As is his vision and dribbling ability, technical ability and overall talent is above Reo-Coker’s.

  9. The central defender situation is a mess. We have to sell at least one, in order to keep Clarke motivated. We need to have good cup runs so that everyone gets a game. If Beye and co play well in these matches we might get two or three sales in January, but no one has any money except Man City. If Ash plays as he did yesterday and secures his England place he will be next Milner

  10. christian – you are so right about Coker i can’ believe all the idiots singing his name, how shit do you have top be for the sheep to make a song up??? As far as i’m concerned he’s the ONLY thing wrong at our club now the Irish idiot and his 3 Muppets have gone!!

Can i add Kevin Mac has had 1 game and we played the best football i have seen at Villa Park for years. Players playing with freedom & not under instruction. The bloke is a visionary i mean playing a right back at right back was a master stroke. I take my hat off to you Kevin we could do a lot lot worse!!!

  11. Andrew – You still rate Reo-Coker!!!!
You need to get out more or turn your seat round so it face’s the pitch!!!!

  12. Lets not get too carried away about yesterday… West Ham were really really poor

  13. Well Robbo. I’ve found a real numpty of a hack here – Some Guy called Oliver Holt

    http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11677_6310094,00.html

He thinks that Villa made a mistake letting O’Neill go. He is a friend of the man who spent millions on players he wasn’t going to put on the pitch. (Bit like Mancini is doing I suppose). Let’s hope ManCiniCiteh implode this week with dressing room strife and Milner sees what he might be in to and changes his mind.
PS – Your better than this Holt guy who couldn’t even blog well for Stafford Rangers

  14. Chop, holt is a very good reporter, just because you do not agree with him does not negate that fact

  15. Ian if Holte thinks we made a mistake with MON he knows FUCK ALL and that is a fact buddy.

  17. “Andrew – You still rate Reo-Coker!!!!

Get out more or turn my seat round… So I should get out and not watch a game or turn my seat around and not watch the game… Genius… LOL

  18. “Ian if Holte thinks we made a mistake with MON he knows FUCK ALL and that is a fact buddy.”

Coming from a person who hates a player for no reason? 0 credibility.

  19. Reo-coker still has something to contribute, he is fantastic at recovering a ball from a tackle and bringing it back into our possession, however the only problem is he does not know what to do after. This can be worked on in training as well as being given some amtch time at the highest level.(which he has not been given)
