Comments and Debate on Aston Villa

OFFICIAL – MILNER wants to GO, bye, Villa always moves on

All the stories have spread from a Radio 5 interview by Juliette Ferrington and on her twitter

# martin o’neill: “james intimated he wanted to leave before he left for the world cup. I haven’t spoken to him since.”

This is after Mancini has said today that he would not pay over the odds for Milner and for me is a clear MON plan to force Milner’s hand by handing in a transfer request.

This will mean Villa can lower their asking price (as they do not have to pay Milner) and the deal can be done.

Get this done quickly Villa, end game is now here. A deal can be struck at the right price for us but we do not want the situation like with Barry when an unhappy player is stuck around the club.

£25m should do it

Milner has lost a lot of my respect and I hope he likes being rotated something he has never seen at previous clubs and obviously never learnt the lesson from Gareth Barry.

Whilst being disappointed at this, we move on, Villa are bigger than any player or individual and MON will have to find the next James Milner. Besides we still have Ash who after his comments this week is fully committed ot the club and should become the focal point of the team

Also I would say this is MON’s way of alerting any other possible clubs as no direct comment about Man City and rumours were around Chelsea would like to speak to him.

An auction ?

Very, very disapointing. But let’s see what we can do with the transfer funds. Oh well. Onward, and upward.

Obviously disappointed for you lot, still, play your cards right & you might get £20-25m cash + players (take your pick from Ireland & Onouha).

S’pose there’s no real point in having a player who doesn’t want to be there, and I hope – for our sakes – that he turns out better than Barry who looked a world beater until we played you lot at Villa Park, and then was consistently rubbish for the remaining games (ironically, I think it’s Barry’s position that he’ll take if we do manage to strike a deal with you).

Anyway, good luck next season (as long as you finish below us but above Utd & Liverpool you’ll still be one of my favourite ‘other sides’.

It is not a bad thing getting a bucket load of money for james ..he has been excellent for the villa but i am confident he can be replaced and it wont have a negitive afffect on us moving forward Ashley young is the player we cant afford to lose and thankfully he has expressed desire to help the club kick on phew

I’m a Utd fan, but I think you boys will finally kick off the transfer merry-go-round if this happens..

If Milner goes to city, you could possibly get Ireland/Bridge going the other way.. Ireland would be excellant in backing up the attack. Bridge because Liverpool are interested in Warnock. Heard he fell out with MON?

And use the rest of the funds to get Keane from Spurs.. 3 players for 1 ain’t bad!.

My wife is pretty bummed about this. The season before last, she bought me a Milner shirt for our anniversary.

    Hello all,

I just wish we could get the deal done now and get rid of Milner. He has showed no Loyalty to the Club whatsoever. I knew this was happening a long time ago. He used to spend a lot of time on twitter talking to Villa ppl but once the speculation about him going to Man City started he stopped tweeting altogether. If he leaves i hope it’s soon. By soon i mean i hope he rots in hell, the f@ckin’ ingrate…I apologise for my language but i’m angry at these money hungry players who use the excuse of wanting to win things. That’s BS and we all know it. I hope he rots on the bench at City….Scum

  13. or VFT part of the plan to smoke out Milner to either out in a transfer request or persuade City to bid in case another club is interested.

I am expecting before Monday for the deal to be done

he wants this closed now ASAP, learnt that from Barry

Maybe so, Ian, but I don’t expect that kind of skulduggery from MON.
