One of the great things about the transfer window is that it provides endless rumours, loads of ITK’s (In the Knows) and plenty to discuss and gossip over.
On this blog I like to reflect on these and open them up for people to look at what is being said if you do not look at the forums. As always do not shoot the messenger !!

They do rate Milner and they don’t want him to go but it will come out in the wash so to speak he has had his head turned and he has also played a lot of football for a lad of his age in them legs . If he wants to go they will let him go but the price will be on our terms . He won’t even entertain contract talks with us I was told today so how can we keep him . I personally aint convinced the deal is totally done yet with City but I am convinced he will go to them . If they change their minds then he won’t though as go its a one horse race !
And he reckons on Ash Young that he so rated t would take a bid far in advance of Milner for Villa to be persuaded to sell
I saw Randy Lerner on the Trinity Road forecourt after the Chelsea game 2 nil home game and he was just like the rest of us but kept saying did you see Ashley Young today . He won’t go to Liverpool and honestly for him to leave it would take a fee of Ronaldo type proportions he is rated that highly !
Add to this on the Man city forum there is a poster called ‘Danamy’ who seems to be well trusted for ITK information and he reckons Milner obviously will go and we will get Ohoura in response to a Villa poster.
I’m very confident that this deal is going to happen and i have it on good authority that Ned will be used as a makeweight on the deal.
If so you’ll be getting a good honest player that can play either right back or centre back and gives 100%………….you wont be disappointed!

I was told we don’t like players plus cash deals it has to be a straight cash deal . Not surprised us linked with him but think it will be a seperate deal if it’s correct.
Make of these of what you will but there is no doubt we will soon find out, I will be personally shocked if Milner starts pre season with Villa.

i wouldn’t b shocked cz james milner is a loyal player although i cant see him staying till the start of the season after this one though because unless something dramatic happens with villa we wont be at a high enough level at football for his liking so he will move on
I will be gutted if Milner goes. I have always thought he was about football and not money. Man City is just a sink hole for millions of pounds – Villa is about being a star and playing football week in, week out. I think – and hope – that Milner is the latter.
Won’t be hurt if Milner goes. Great player but easily replaceable. I’d be crushed if we let Young go though. One of the best wingers in the world, truly gifted player. It would take a Ronaldo like bid to get him.
I don’t know what make you think he is loyal, he put a transfer request in at Newcastle.
So Mliner won’t sign a new deal with Villa, eh?? There’s a surprise!!! Players have no loylaty anymore.. Sell him and look for Stephen Ireland as part of the deal. 20MIL and S. Ireland would be a cracking deal for us. What annoys me about this whole Milner debacle is why we hadn’t signed him to a longer term contract last yr. O’Neill must’ve Known he was in his plans for the long term. I’m not gonna have a go at O’Neill over it because he cannot control these little ingrates who don’t understand what it is to be LOYAL to your CLUB…If Milner thinks that playing with the Primadonnas that were on show at the worldcup will further his career and make him a better player then good riddance to bad rubbish. Are you serious? Glen Roeder pulled the plug on him signing permenantly 11th hour because a Newcastle signing fell through. Milner said he cried on the trip back to Newcastle because liked Villa and was sick of being messed about.
For Milner it won’t be about the money and therefore he should stay. He’s never shown form like last season any where else so I can’t see why he’d leave.
This would seem to be true…. 606′s WorldClass who has a source within a Media outfit reks the Milner deal has been agreed… MoN has been given first option on several man city players. However “MM” (mediamate) Also says Ireland and DeJong (who are rumoured to be available)will hold out for proven Champions League Clubs with Liverpool and Arsenal most likely for DeJong and United or Liverpool for Ireland.

Think this is where the SWP rumour has come from because MoN has been given first option on him and other clubs will be told about this when thet enquire.
The deal will be announced once MoN has a suitable replacement lined up…. It is expected that Sidwells move to WHU will trigger a bid for Dorrans at WBA. However another rumour MM heard within the Sidwell transfer is that MoN was trying to get Collison??

Arnautovic has just signed for werder bremen so unlikely.
Milners a good honest pro who’s engine runs our midfield. But if he wants out (and we don’t know that for certain) he can go. Ash is worth far more to me and we can get 2 quality midfielders in to better the side with the 28m rumoured.
Having looked at Mysteryman’s supposed in the know stuff over the last couple of years he has not come up with a single bit of info’ that could not be found by doing some proper research or by common-sense guesswork and a lot of his itk has been totally wrong.
I find it hilarious that so many on VT hang on his every word but that sums up the intelligence level of many on there.
So James Milner has had his head turned by Citeh’s millions? Wow, we couldn’t have guessed that so thanks for that inside info! The guy, in my opinion of course, is a total fraud and has no more insider knowledge than any other fan!
What he says about anything is totally irrelevant and the only thing that does matter is any announcement on ins and outs on the official Villa website.
I understand why anyone may be a sceptic on ITK’s but it is a matter of trust
