After the disaster that was the Chelsea game, the month of April was very good with 13 points from 5 games and continuing our fantastic away performance. This has shown real bottle from the team and manager and total lack of faith and bottle in both by our own supporters.
Now the deserved Carling Manager of the Month award for April has gone to MON and that I believe is now his third award whilst at Villa.
Even now some short sighted supporters are denigrating this award by claiming it is against weaker teams but this season should have shown us all that no game can be taken for granted.

It won’t shut up all of the moaners. Nothing will. It beggars belief just how some people refuse to acknowledge what MoN has done at our club.
Andy, I do find it amazing, I really do what more do some people require from a season ?
A trophy perhaps Ian? Even I as a Blues fan acknowledge that its been a good season for Villa. Apart from a poor European campaign you’ve had 2 good cup runs, been at the top end of the premier league all season and beaten Blues twice plus good wins against Chlesea, Liverpool and Man Utd. If fans are moaning after that then maybe they have slightly unrealistic expectations.
Villa have had a cracking season, yes we’ve been let down at a few games, where we should have taken 3 points….but just look at our points tally (so far), done well in two cups, two visits to Wembley, and won the Peace Trophy !!!
If we finish in the top 4 it would be unbelievable, but hopefully we are going to be playing in Europe, with a stronger team and spending to get a new striker soon.
yep Mark, my thoughts entirely and I hope MON has reflected and seen the vast majority back him to progress, season upon season
