The winter transfer window is now CLOSED

A very quiet window for Villa. I think we have more than good enough squad if we keep fit, Gabby keeps scoring and Carew gets back. It is a risk to leave it as it is but frankly look at the moves, few forwards, and those who moved I would not want, business was not available this window nor I guess the money.

The only permanent move was Craig Gardner to Blues for three million

Nicky Shorey – Fulham until the end of season

Barry Bannan – Blackpool until the end of the season

Shane Lowry – Leeds until 31st March

Nathan Baker – Lincoln until the end of the season
