Is there a bigger hypocrite in football that Big (fat) Sam Allardyce. After yesterday’s game all you heard from him was a stream of moans about the ref for example
“Then the referee allows a blatant foul on Ryan Nelsen to go unpunished.
“You have to make sure you get those decisions right because they don’t even themselves out and we are perhaps out of a cup final because of that decision.”
Now whilst I accept that there may have been a tiny push by Gabby on Nelson not sure it was enough to push over a 6ft 4 inch central defender but lets be generous to Fat Sam and say he may have been right.
In that case Fat Sam any chance you would accept Gabby was fouled at Ewood Park and in the name of sportsmanship ask for his yellow card to be rescinded. Fat Sam would you also be generous enough to admit we should have had a second penalty for the Chimbonda handball.
Won’t hold my breath waiting for his reply.
Whilst at the game yesterday the Sun reported that Ranger’s Kris Boyd was at Villa Park for ‘extensive talks’ with O’Neil. Now whilst his record across the border is good I am enough of a football nut to see most games live and the standard up there is shocking. The guy lacks pace, any physical presence and does less in a game that Carew even does, in other words a big no to him and I have supported MON in most of the signings.
If this signing happened I would be very unhappy at it and it would block the way for Nathan Delfouneso who is the future of AVFC and should be certainly considered way before Kris Boyd.
EDIT: Boyd’s agent has confirmed that he spoke to Villa but is still speaking to Rangers is this a negotiation ploy to get more out of Rangers I bloody well hope so !!!
Aston Villa News 24/7
Just a bitter fat loser
samba handball in the first game i thought – he got his just deserts in the second leg
I’ve looked at the major incidents in HD on a very big tv in slow motion in the presence of an independant observer and we have reached the following decisions.
When the ball was crossed for the first Villa goal, Agbonlahor and Nelson both had eyes for the ball. In their attempts to get to it there was a coming together – no obstruction by Nelson, no pushing by Agbonlahor. It was no more than a coming together – no foul.
The sending off and penalty? Samba made no contact with the ball and as last defender he had to go.
Handball by Agbonlahor for the fourth goal? Interestingly enough, he is turning away from a ball smashed at him from ten yards away with both arms pulled into his body. From the flight of the ball, it may have hit his right elbow but as he was so close to where the ball was struck, the referee made the right decision.
Overall, Mr Atkinson handled the game very well and got every major decision right.
Fat sams got sour grapes 2 me. I cant believe were going to wembley im extatic ,reason for my hangover and getting up at 1 and probably the sack but i dont give 2 hoots lol.
Kris boyd can stay in scotland 4 all i care n set up a haggis store or summet hes not welcome
Enough of me wafflin on
kay serrar serrar (however u spell it)
i agree with what you say about fat sam but the boyd issue i dont, i along with a few other villa fans was looking at his james collins signing of £5million and was thinking to myself, why!? but he has been a snip for us, dont u think boyd is finding just too easy in the SPL a bit like larsson, who went to barca and man utd and did well in his short spells there, maybe he needs to get out of there and further himself which may benefit us, if he signs i will be ok with it but wont get too carried away either, with the likes of young, downing and milner supporting him i think he can do well because gabby has speed and nothing else, heskey hold ball well and carew scores the odd few, so what have we got any better, we havent, if the stories are true lets trust in MON and Boyd, i cant see why not?.
Chris, read my posts on here, I am very positive about MON but seriously Boyd was not good enough for Blues never mind for a so called top 4 challenging team.
We know it is likely Carew or Heskey will leave imagine a forward choice of Gabby Heskey Boyd and Delf, just average.
ianrobo at least there are a few Villa fans out there with a bit of kop on regarding Boyd. How do we expect to move up further in this league if this is the calibre of player that we are after(Spurs go for RVN and we target Boyd). He would not score down here plus he would not get half the chances he gets up in Scotland.
Also take a look at his record againest top teams. He has scored once againest Celtic in 20 games.
Id bet Heskey would score 20+ goals a season up there.
heskey would never score 20 plus in the spl…he struggles to get 5, and from what ive seen of boyd is he is absolutley deadly in the six yard box and with the quality of villas midfield he would get a lot of chances and a lot of goals….regardless of what league he has been playing in he has been sticking the ball past the goalie and into the net 30 plus times a season, and if steven fletcher already has 12 for burnley, boyd would bang them in at villa, he lacks fitness but that is easily sorted…..boyd reminds me of another jock ally mccoist one of the best finishers britain ever produced never mind scotland and with the right coaching which mon will give boyd could be a great signing.
Also Larsson and Boyd are 2 completly different players. Henrick was a complete player while Boyd is far from it. They cannot be compared.
Kris Boyd isn’t going to Villa park now or in the near future …. he’s staying at Rangers and will sign a new deal !
I am reliably iformed that once Craig Gardenr departs for Birmingham City – then Villa will sign Kevin Prince Boateng from Portsmouth !
Villa had a deal tied up with West Ham to sign Scott Parker but this was scrapped when Gold & Sullivan acquired West Ham.
Finally it’ll be the summer before it occurs but Villa will smash there transfer record for a foriegn striker – all I am prepared to advise at preset is that he’s of German origin !
Thats all folks !
at least that is better news, Spoiler
What do you actually know about Boyd? If he signs back him and quit with your constant whining…he can only score goals against what’s in front of him ffs. Get him on the pitch at Villa Park and let that be the decider, I hope no one uses this inept blog to form an opinion.
we are allowed a view mate and I have seen Boyd enough on sky and scottish football in general to know it is a dire league and boyd no better than even Harewood.
Surely uou must agree as neraly the whole of villa fans know we need that real top class player, if we got him we would be serious contenders for top 2, ever mind top 4.
buying Boyd would make no difference at all, buying a class forward would.
Why is MON has spend a lot in defence and midfield, yet up front, the area that wins games he has spent only £10m on the current forwards ?
