Update on letter on safe standing

Following on after the letter I sent to the local MP’s about the issues that surrounds our game against Liverpool I have to say I am very disappointed at the responses.

So far I have just received two replies from Claire Short and Richard Burden which we were just standard replies as the example below

Thank you for your email to Richard Burden.

Parliamentary Convention states that MPs have to ensure that they only deal with correspondence from their own constituents and forward on to the correct MP any correspondence from those who do not live within their constituency boundaries. This helps to ensure that constituents receive the best service possible from their MP.

I am also sending a copy of this email to your local MP, Bruce George

Now whilst they may be following parliamentary standards, I am very disappointed at the lack of replies and the unwillingness to discuss the issue that has been raised.

This to me just confirms that at the political level they are afraid to deal with an issue that may be controversial but carries the support of the vast majority of the fans.
