Great owner and good incentives

A couple of good things have happened at Villa today which should be open to a wider audience.

Firstly Villa performed the 2nd (and lets hope it will be annual) open training session at Villa Park. A magnificent 11,500 got the free tickets and for 3 hours through a wide range of varied activities got their money’s worth of activities and seeing the players train.

This is an excellent move by Villa as it gives something back to the fans and definitely brings the fans closer to the club which is all important if you want to continue to grow the fan base.

Secondly Villa have sent to letters to season card holders in certain sections of the wings in stands that shortly prices in these areas will be reduced to encourage more people to go. A couple of seasons ago Villa removed these prices and that as I said at the time was a bad move so this can only be good news especially as we have some exciting matches coming up.

Since Doug Ellis left the difference in Villa’s marketing and attitude has been marked, we have seen some very clever moves by them and these tow are yet more examples of what a fantastic owner we have.
