It is clear from the Sun today that David Bentley is Villa bound.

Bentley, holidaying in Spain’s swish resort of Puerto Banus where he owns a trendy bar called Buddha Beach, confirmed: “I’m in talks with Villa at the moment. I really don’t want to say much more. But we’ll see what happens. I’m hopeful of sorting it out as soon as possible.”

In my previous post I mentioned what a source had confirmed the deal so it is fair to say that this deal will be completed very shortly in front of Bodymoor Heath with a scarf.

I am happy with this prospective signing especially at the reported cost of around £10m, with another £5m for Tom Huddlestone.

However on Sky Sports News the agent has denied he has spoken to Villa and the Evening Mail are printing a similar kind of story. MOM will not like Bentley speaking out of turn but for me as per my sources this deal is done.
